“Absolutely EXCELLENT. My wife and I took her mother to Garrett's for her birthday dinner. Gotta say this place is AMAZING. The owner greets people and checks on tables more than once, he makes it more personable. It is a unique personal touch and it is wonderful. The food is tremendous, very generous portions, delicious. We've been to Garrett's more than once and everything we've ever ordered has been superb. The owner manages this business extremely well, it is always very clean, including the restrooms. The staff are WELL TRAINED and they are all very friendly. Prices are more than fair, not expensive at all. Plenty of drinks, a full bar and a great selection of beers. If you haven't tried Garrett's let me suggest that you do, even if you have to drive from the other side of town, it's worth it. You don't have to get all fancied up, this is a casual place and actually it is really comfortable and welcoming. Sure they're famous for steaks, but they have a diverse menu, salads, fish, chicken, all great. TRY THIS PLACE - you will love it.”

“Their flour tortillas are bomb, so are their meats, but their corn tortillas are awful. I took mine back and the woman behind the counter tried to tell me they were fine, they're supposed to be deep fried. BTW I've made homemade flour and corn tortillas since I was old enough to roll them or press them, so I know the difference between fresh corn tortillas and tortillas that have been sitting around getting hard for 2 weeks. Even week old corn tortillas from my fridge that have gotten tossed weren't this hard or stale. If it wasn't for the corn tortillas, I'd have probably given a 4 or 5 star rating because I was impressed with the fresh chorizo and their red Chile is decent.”
