“Where do I even begin with the service I received here! I don’t know if you wackadoodles have had jade as your waitress but omg she is a little ball of sunshine. I asked to order their jerked chicken and she said “sir this is an oyster bar but let me see what I can do!” She left work went to her local farmers market and bought me a fresh chicken! She then jerked it and pan seared the thing right out back! She came back with a fully satisfied cooked chicken :). I will say all of it was delicious and she went above and beyond I will be back!”

“This place is amazing! The staff are so friendly. The food was incredible! My husband and I had the country fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, fried okra and garlic toast. If u want a delicious home cooked meal this is the place. The country fried steak was the best we have ever had. The bathrooms were also cleaner than I’ve ever seen a public bathroom. If your going through texarkana stop and give it a try. U won’t regret it. Also reasonable priced”

“We were traveling in the Texarkana area during lunch time. When we want to find a good place to eat & has good service, we depend on Google Maps and it’s reviews to take us there! That’s what Sue N Carols Kitchen did. I’m telling you believe me when I say good food and service, that’s the reason why they such good reviews.”

“Never been disappointed, fast and good southern food for a good price. We usually doordash and the staff have called us before concerned that our food would get cold because our dasher was taking a while to get it. It’s nice to see staff who care. I always get their southern single burger because the pickles they put on it are so good. Their tartar sauce is also incredibly unique and tastes more like a burger sauce. 10/10”

“The chicken was fresh, the mashed potatoes tasted and looked like instant potatoes, the cole slaw was awesome, the mac and cheese was very good, wish I had bought more, I also wish it came with more biscuits and honey butter. The gravy was very good. The tea and sprite containers were cool and easy to use.i would have given them 5 stars if the mashed potatoes had been real, oh and they were out of French fries.”

“The best ribeye steak I've had in a long time, particularly at a restaurant. I got the king cut because I wanted a thicker cut for better cooking. I didn't have a scrap of meat left when I got done. Tender as tender can be without any tenderizers or seasoning. A dash of salt to bring out the flavor was all it needed. The peripheral food was very good as well. The oysters on the half shell were very fresh and tasty. The Dragon Fries were very good as well. I would have easily given a five star rating for the quality of the food and atmosphere. I only gave it four stars because it seemed that the waitress had some issue with me. Nothing I could put my finger on but I got the feeling she was snubbing me a bit. I asked my wife about it after we left and she saw it too. I believe I was courteous and did nothing I could think of to put her off but it did add a slight shadow on the evening. Otherwise I would highly recommend dinner here. Just be prepared though, it's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.”

“Stopped by for a quick lunch on our way back from Memphis. We are vegetarians and they were very helpful in selecting the right dishes. They told us that the rice had chicken stock and substituted it with beans on the enchiladas which were really yummy. Love the chips and salsa”

“I was visiting home from college and decided to try this new food truck in town. The food was fresh and hot! I ordered the Beef/Lamb gyro wrap meal with Baklava for dessert. I can’t wait to go back home and eat there again!”

“Good for the price. Good people working there also. Interesting 'chocolate chip pizza' served in their buffet. A must try. Taste just like chocolate chip cookies. Salad bar was decent, mac and cheese also was pretty good. Some of the pizza sat out too long and looked kind of dry, but fresh was brought out and served promptly. Over all a good place and I would for sure come again.”

“This place was awesome! The brisket was good, the ribs were amazing, and the sausage was really good! The twice baked mashed potatoes which were awesome, the beans with meat were delicious, and a mac and cheese was so good. The wait staff was super friendly! The outside patio in the fire pit topped off this delicious visit. Highly recommended and definitely want to come back when we're passing through again!”

“This restaurant has the nicest staff I have seen in quite some time. It was a pleasure coming here. I have always loved El Chico‘s and will stop by one whenever I come across the restaurant. The restaurants always serve great food. The service was so good, if there was a way to give a six star to a restaurant this would be the one.”

“Best burgers we've had in a long time - tastes homemade! Generous patty, bun not too big or too small, customized toppings to your liking. The onion rings were crispy, flavorful and not greasy. The service was excellent - first time here and they made us feel like we were neighbors. Do not miss if you are in Texarkana!”

“I visited with family and friends Halloween night. Parking is adequate, but lighting outside and signage could use a boost at night. I passed it up without seeing it all and had to call for directions back and use landmarks to see it. The staff was really great, a lot of fun people. They were very accommodating. We were dressed for the contest and I actually won the cost of my meal. They even have us coupons for a free appetizer or dessert on a return visit. I ordered the black bean burger with fries. It was good considering I'm very picky about black bean burgers. My son had the gumbo and said it was good. Someone else had a side of mashed potatoes that were bland and unappealing, salmon that wasn't quite up to par, and the kitchen seemed to be out of a lot of items. They didn't even have top shelf liquor so, no margarita for me. The menu choices selections seemed adequate. I would give them another go before writing them off. The friendly and fun staff saved it for me.”

“This is the first time we have been here. I heard about this place from some guys at work. I was not disappointed with the staff or the food. We were greeted when we walked in the door by a friendly hello. We ordered and were served our food quickly. I had the hamburger steak on dirty rice. The steak was well seasoned and very tender. It was not bland at all. It came with hushpuppies and two sides for a reasonable price. My wife had the gator bites and she said they tasted like fresh gator cut and battered fresh. We will certainly be going back.”
