“My grandmother recommended this place to my dad and I. Today, my dad and I checked it out. While my dad used the restroom, the owner engaged in conversation with me, which I thought was rather nice because it prevented me from having to sit in awkward silence while I was waiting for my dad so that we could order. My dad got a BLT which he ate in the cafe and he was very impressed and absolutely loved it. I ordered a build-your-own sandwich to go. It had a great flavor and the ingredients were all fresh. One of, if not the greatest, sandwich(es) I’ve ever tasted in our small community. Since I requested no tomato or onion, the owner even offered to add pepperoncini to help give my sandwich a little more substance. That was incredibly thoughtful of him, and the addition turned out to taste fantastic. The setting is inviting and relaxing, the menu is visually appealing and enjoyable to look at, and everything on it sounds delicious. Even the smell inside the cafe is amazing when you first enter. This is a nice place to sit and have a meal because of the attractive aesthetic, welcoming atmosphere, and delicious aromas. I strongly advise stopping by and giving That One Spot a chance. You won’t regret it. And me? I can’t wait to go back and try out other menu items.”

“We went for dinner tonight and not only was the service amazing (thank you CieCie) but the food was delicious!! My son devoured his chicken and alfredo and the rest of us cleaned our plates! Everything was fresh and let me tell you about the RANCH DRESSING 🤤🔥🔥🔥 it is homemade, and I’m not talking about opening a packet and adding milk 😂 amazing, can’t wait to go back and support this family business that obviously LOVES their craft!”

“Plasse's Resort has a fascinating history well over 150 years. It is a private resort with RV camping. A number of private cabins on leased forest service land. There's an old church and some amazing cabins that were built right on top of the granite. I don't know how many years ago. They have a store, a restaurant horseshoe pits bocce ball. They sell propane and their RV camp area has water hookups. Not sure about electric and sewer. You'll enjoy your visit. We visited the week before the July 4th holiday. A lot of fun activities are on the calendar there. Give him a try.”

“Much improved, under new ownership. Worth a visit. Last time I visited, about two years ago, the place was dumpy but it has since changed ownership and the new owner has been upgrading the place. The refreshed deck is a great place to hang out after a day in the mountains. The bar used to be dank and dark and now it's pretty clean and nice. The owner seems to be adding some new cabins as well. The brunch is pretty typical and done well. I had the cheese mushroom omelet. Coffee is average. Although I didn't have any they appear to have a good selection of beers at the bar.”

“Had a really good breakfast there. I was a nice rest stop on our way to Tahoe. I was a great history lesson & fun place to stop. I'm really glad I decided to stop & have breakfast. I would advise anyone driving out that way to stop in & grab a bite & get a history lesson.”

“Such a great find. Stopped for a gas fill up at the nearby station when we saw the store and decided to try. So glad we did! Crust baked perfectly crispy on the bottom. Heavy toppings. Sauce was maybe a little salty, but I think that's a personal thing. Definitely no problem finishing the pizza between all of us. Also tried the wings and the churro donuts. The donuts were very tasty. The wings were ok. Will definitely grab another pizza the next time we are in town!”

“Mr. Beefys is a hamburger joint all its own. With its large variety of options it obliterates the competition and some. The burgers are first rate and leave nothing to be desired. The garlic fries and onion rings are hand made fresh and delicious. The wait times can be a little long, but the food is definitely worth the wait. So good and satisfying is the experience here that despite an extra 5 or 10 minute wait most people return and some even travel long distances rather than settle for a lesser fare. If its burger heaven your looking for you'll find it at Mr. Beefys.”
