It's intimate dimly lit dining that Sinatra would approve of. The double cut pork chop is a must try. I absolutely love visiting here. It's my favorite place to pop in with my girlfriends from So Cal and have a couple appetizers and show them the wine list or John's amazing martini list! It's a must visit! “We had a Flapjack fundraiser for our school in Placerville this morning. The food was fantastic! I wanted to find which company the pancakes came from so I can make some from home. The eggs and sausage we're excellent too. The district. Manager, Russell was fantastic also. He made us feel so comfortable and confident about what we all would be doing. The staff were so nice and helpful. I can't wait to go back and do this again next year.”

“What a great little gem in Cameron Park. I had been hearing about this place and finally decided to check it out. Dumplings are all handmade. They make them right at the table. We only ordered dumplings, so can’t comment on the other dishes. We got two orders to go. One just veggie, the other pork and vegetables. They were both delicious. We felt the pork was much better than just the veggie, but everything was cooked nicely. We’d recommend it and will most surely visit here for more dumplings again!! I’m not sure if these are the same owners from the Chinese restaurant, the place still has the vibe of the old restaurant. I wouldn’t give it very high stars for atmosphere. The restaurant itself is a bit old and drab. So, I’ll just take my dumplings to go and be happy.”

New ownership of this place has not improved it. 28 Feb visit. Dining partner had to send his fish back twice to get it cooked enough to be edible. My Fernando's special included soup which should have been served when others in our party of 6 got their salads, but was brought with the entree so there was not enough room to deal with both and impossible to properly consume. Slow service, enchiladas and huge burrito were enjoyed just fine.”

“I ordered the food from Mountain Mike's online, it told me 30 minutes till it was ready. It took me about that long to get there. When I arrived the man at the counter told me he hadn't received an online order, he asked to look at my reciept which I had. He went in the back came out a few minutes later, seemed embarrassed and told me he'd have it ready in five minutes, although it was ten before it was ready. Even though this was a frustrating beggining the food was delicious, really good quality. The establishment was also very nice, with everything cleaned and nice seating.”

Knowing that there is usually quite a wait if you go inside, we try to order online and then head in and pick it up. That makes it a very fast trip! The peppered turkey with cheddar is good and the southwestern salad is a definite favorite, but there are combinations for everyone. When you get a soup or salad, the sourdough comes on the side. I'm a regular here and they always keep a nice selection of the dark stuff in the fridge and on tap for me. I eat here quite often as well and they have the BEST onion rings. My favorite menu item is the blue cheese bacon burger, but my friend swears by the pulled pork mac n cheese sandwich. One of these mornings I'm going to make it for their screaming deal on bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary's. Hop House is easily my favorite spot in EDH.”

“Service isn't the greatest. I would like it if they served rice when you order a main dish. The prices are so high they could afford to give a small serving of rice with your order. Although I do enjoy the food. Sometimes it is just right with the spicy level, and sometimes not. I am waiting for more consistently. I would probably eat here more if it was more consistent, and a little less expensive, or they served rice with the dish.”
