“Having lived in the Central Valley all my life, I feel like I've been pretty spoiled by great Mexican food. Since moving to Humboldt County, we've been struggling to find one that approached the same quality of what we're used to--but I think Carmela's might be The One. The service was wonderful and the food was amazing. My friend swore up and down that their mole sauce was some of the best he's had. It also just had a really chill vibe. Basically, we'll probably be making return trips!”

However if you have about 10 minutes to wait, you can order one with the stuff you like and they are literally 2 times the size for almost the same price. “The brew with a view was great. I got the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was delicious. To drink I got the 10 beer sampler. Six Rivers has so many unique and tasty beers that this was a great way to try most of them. I sat outside and the environment was great. A friendly person at the next table even let me have a slice of their pizza which was also fantastic. Would highly recommend this place.”

“Great food and atmosphere. Dog friendly too! Big fan of their Reuben and a usual special soup of the day combo. Also I remember having a corned beef sandwich special around St Patties Day which was amazing. Great staff, but be prepared to wait longer for food on music nights. Totally understandable, so just go in knowing this and you're great.”
