“We stopped by this new establishment to have dinner. I ordered a Lengua burrito with beans, rice and cheese, and also ordered a Mulita de birria and a Horchata drink. food was great, and the Horchata was made just right the food prices are lower, then other restaurants of its kind .The service was courteous and friendly, and we had our dinner in no time. The interior is colorful with plenty of tables and chairs to sit down and enjoy your meal, there’s plenty of parking with a handicap stalls at the front entrance”

“Great food. If you want some damn good Nashville style chicken and spicy chicken that will burn for days yet you still want more? Well these guys got you covered. The flavors are excellent. The batter is amazing. Every time I have eaten here the food has been fresh, consistent and made to order. I also love their battered fries. They are crispy, starchy and not oily. Definitely worth a try and always good to come back to. Update:. So this is an update from a visit a few days ago. The quality and serving changes have made my experience with this place completely sour. They changed the sliders to a single sandwich meal without changing the price. Before, they gave a good helping of fries and now you get a sad sprinkle(the best way I could word it). I do not know what changed, the flavors are still relatively consistent but these huge changes to the content has made me no longer consider this place in high regard. So if you plan to go, temper your expectation for what you will get as they changed things, but for the better. Pictures included for what used to be 2 sliders and fries, now one slider and "some fries". I have adjusted my rating to reflect my dismay at the changes.”

We recently came back to try their spinach ramen ? and the takoyaki balls ?. Both were so delicious, ramen broth was flavorful and takoyaki was crunchy on the outside and soft & chewy on the inside. “My sister and I came here for brunch and we were so impressed with their Hacienda Heights location. Since we came pretty early, we got our orders in rather quickly and found our seats near the front. We ordered the Norwegian Benedict, Ham & Egg Sandwich, and the famous House French Toast. My Benedict was simply perfect. The yolk was running and so tasty. The toasts were crunch and had just the right amount of sweetness. Everything was just so delicious here and to add a cherry on top of that, the staff was amazing. We were so happy to dine with Popping Yolk.”

“Great place for spicy food. For those that don't like spice I recommend elsewhere. The place is small but cozy and the staff is very accomdating. The food tastes great and not overcooked or too dry. The whole table ordered bacon chives skewers, potato skewers, tofu skewers, gluten skewers, and more skewers to name. We also ordered sautee spicy chicken and spiced chicken with chili sauce. They are very large servings with very wide noodles that are fresh and nice. Would recommend and would visit again.”

“Next Republic is a nice burger and bbq joint that just opened here in Hacienda Heights. It has a nice "place to hang out and chill" atmosphere. The food is also good, as I got their Next Burger with sweet potato fries. However there are a few things I would think, distract from getting 5 stars. 1. Small portion sizes, when I ordered I got a handful of fries and a small burger about the width of a McDonald's cheeseburger. The fries were nothing special but the burger tasted great though. 2. Price, it's pretty expensive here. My order itself was about $12 with tax and one of the least expensive main course meals you can get. Only the deserts and appetizers are less than $10 but the least expensive thing here is about $5. Overall, it's a pretty great place if you have the money for it.”
