“My Chinese coworkers told me this was as close as to you could get to barbecue you'd find in China. Just having come back from Beijing, I would agree. Totally delicious. That said, this place is definitely a hole-in-the-wall, greasy spoon. The floor is super greasy so there's cardboard for you find your footing. It is charming in its own way. The wait here can be long so call ahead. Also, the menu is all in Chinese. Fortunately I had the benefit of my Chinese friends, but if I came here by myself, I would probably just point at items on other people's tables. Everything here was really good.”

“Service was a bit so-so, since it seemed most of them were on their lunch break when we arrived around 2:30pm, but you kinda get used to this kinda of service around here. They did bring out rice and the daily soup before we even ordered, so that was pretty quick. Menu wise the lunch specials go all the way until 5pm and there is a decent variety. We got the sweet and sour fish & the beef with green beans. The fish was definitely crispy and the batter actually almost reminded me of funnel cake batter, but still was good. The beef and green beans were cooked right and the sauce was tasty as well. Overall: Good price, plenty of parking, food is good, service is so-so.”

“Asked for sweet and spicy whole chicken with side sauce and a cabbage side salad. Took a while because the chicken is cooked fresh. Worth the wait since the freshly fried texture and taste goes a long way. The chicken without sauce practically stands on it own. It was both spicy and flavorful. Sauce adds another layer to it admittedly dulling the spice and crispiness of the standalone chicken. The cabbage salad was ok. Did not like the fact that the cream or Mayo based dressing was not tossed and would have preferred a pickled or acidic side dish. The server stated that the whole chicken would feed two people. Ate most in one sitting. Not sure I agree with the gentleman, but I have a healthy appetite from regular exercise.”

By the way, we arrived early and saw a couple of saucers filled with salt by the front door. We were told by another patron that it's to late off evil spirits. Well, I'm all in just because of that! “By far the best HK style Cafe I've been to in the US Best 菠萝油 (pineapple cluster bun with butter) in the US. Very similar to the ones in HK. Although these ones are much smaller. MUST TRY!! The mixed sauce rice noodles was great too. I added the curry fish ball which was also great. Recommend the milk tea too.”

“Our favorite would be the house special fried rice, beef chow fun. New York stakes are good also. Love the lemon Ice-t. Good prices. Sometimes very busy but it's worth the waiting time. Parking is a little difficult to find sometimes but other than that the food makes up for all the negatives.”

“Wonderful on a Monday afternoon - fast service, no wait. Amazing juicy pork soup dumplings (two orders!), scallion pancake and veggie and meat fried buns... Huge serving of broccoli that was nice and crunchy rounded out lunch for four. Super recommended and inexpensive! Probably wouldn't want to wait in a line for an hour, but as a casual lunch it was perfect ????”

“Went to eat here for Chinese New year, year of the Pig! It sure felt like I ate like one though! First time to this restaurant. Most of the get clientele were Chinese, I say a good 98%. We ordered dim sum and the lobster dish. Everything was good. I also ordered some of the sweets to go. They provided me with containers so I can take it home. Price is averaged at $15-$18/person. There were 4 of us. The lobster dish made it more pricey than average. If you order simply dim sum, I think it would be less than that. I'd recommend this place if you enjoy Dim sum. Now go....”

“Came here for date night because we saw they specialize in dessert. But having their escargot and pasta was amazing. The Ghost Pepper pasta(you can choose your spicy level) doesn't look spicy because of the light creamy look. But looks are deceiving for this place. I love the taste and the spice hurts so good. If you are a person who loves great pasta and love spicy food. I recommend this place for sure. Before I forget, their lava cake is on point. This isn't a tiny area in the cake with the lava part. This Lava cake actually flows out and takes most part of the cake which a lava cake should. I'm coming back next time for the other flavor lava cakes they have”

“Authentic northern noodle restaurant. Like the interior concept, very cool table setting. I order the spicy intestines noodles soup. It was spicy but great flavor of the broth, the intestines were cooked perfectly (without any off putting smell or taste). Services were friendly and fast, definitely another lunch spot near work.”
