Loved the ambiance and the food was amazing. The oysters were fresh and the mignonettes were tasty. The servers were super nice too. The only downside (not sure if it was just a bad night or I had bad luck) was that my food took forever... I was alone at the counter. The first 4 oysters took 20-30 minutes, the next 4 that got missed in my order took another 15-20, and then my lobster mac and cheese took another 30 minutes after. The waitress noticed though and offered me an extra glass of bubbly proactively, which was really nice. Overall, still a great experience!
Great unpretentious place with a nice little outdoor space that has lovely views of the ocean. The oysters are superb! Ceasar salad is the bomb and don't miss the pie.
Everything we tried here was absolutely fantastic. We sat out on the patio, where blankets were provided, as it was slightly chilly. The area was enclosed though, so it wasn't bad at all.
The atmosphere was laid back, and although the food was definitely upscale, you could get away with jeans and a t-shirt, due to proximity to the beach.
Service was amazing as well! Prompt service, well made recommendations, and everything was quick.
We tried the Lobster Mac and Cheese and the Golden Bass. Both were phenomenal! Highly recommend the Bass in red curry. Topped it all off with a mouth wateringly decadent piece of key lime pie.
I am currently in the process of relocating to Los Angeles and saw this restaurant based on the reviews. The staff was amazing, the quality of the food for the price was outstanding. I was expecting an outlandish bill. I also met Damon the manager who was so personable. He gave me great recommendations about L.A. to help me get settled in. Thank you! I will be back I with the rest of my family.
Friendly and efficient staff make for a pleasant evening. The oysters were fresh and tasted fantastic - straight out of the shell with a squeeze of lemon, nothing else required. My wife had a fish sandwich and said it was great although bread was crumbly. I had fish and chips which were excellent - batter was light, fish was moist and flaky and fries were superb. Would happily go back again. It was quite expensive but, then again, it is in Santa Monica so not sure this is unexpected!
