“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Tensevenrolls Vietnamese restaurant, a family owned establishment located inside the Blossom Market Hall food court in San Gabriel. After hearing great things about this place on Yelp, I was excited to finally have the chance to try it out. Upon arrival, I was greeted with quick and friendly service. I decided to order the papa meal, which included two crunchy egg rolls, four banh cuons, and one spring roll with lettuce and mint leaves. The food was incredibly authentic and delicious, and I could tell that the restaurant takes pride in using fresh and quality ingredients. One thing that really impressed me was the owner's dedication to preserving family recipes. The banh cuon recipe used at Tensevenrolls has been passed down through generations, which really adds to the authentic taste and experience. While the meat in the banh cuon was a bit on the salty side for my taste, it did not detract from the overall authenticity and quality of the dish. In fact, I am already looking forward to trying their Banh Xeo on my next visit. Overall, I highly recommend Tensevenrolls for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Vietnamese cuisine in the San Gabriel area. “Wow! This not your usual smokehouse or Chinese BBQ place. It is amazing *if* you like MaLa spice. This was our first time here and we got a few things to try (and loved them all!). First, we got some quail eggs - deliciously smoked. Probably the most traditional and expected taste of them all. Wonderful. Next, smoked sliced lotus root. They are dark and moist, but crispy and delightfully MaLa, just a little numbing, again, wonderful. Lastly, we tried one of their green peppercorn chickens. These are small, dark birds, but what flavor! I was speechless as I ate my first leg and thigh. What an amazing flavor, unlike anything I’ve ever had before. My wife couldn’t stop praising it and I couldn’t find words. There are so many more things to try, we will be back again (steamed dumplings next!). The woman who helped us was so bright and kind and was very patient with us as she answered all our questions. Be brave, try a small amount of one of their many dishes and you will be coming back too! (sorry no pix of the chicken, we ate it before I thought of writing a review) UPDATE: Feb 2, 2024 Stopped in for lunch and got a bunch of stuff! This is our third visit so I thought I’d do an update. Today we tried some of their bread food and the chicken soup. Shepherd’s Purse and pork steamed dumplings. Disappointing. Our homemade ones are much better and Kingberg Kitchen up the road are also much better - you can actually taste the veggie. They are also very small. Pork and Green Onion Bao. Tasted very good and were very juicy, but . . . No green onions Chicken Soup. Best dish on the table! Rice noodles were well cooked and the broth was very good. I had two small bowls but then it started to get too salty for me. Overall, just ok today. Not everything on the printed menu is available every day, so be prepared to be disappointed! I still think it worth a visit as this type of food is very good and hard to find.”

“This is my first time coming to this location. My girlfriend, mom and I really loved what we got, always delicious crepes, service is super fast and the guys are super friendly and nice, I had an issue while selecting my crepe, and one of the workers was so kind, he came out to the front where the screen is to place orders and he helped me out. Highly recommend this dessert shop or any of their locatios. Newest one is in Little Tokyo. I'm looking forward to try the savory crepes . Give it a shot when craving for dessert is really worth it.”

“As soon as we walked in we were kindly greeted and we chose a table to sit at. The atmosphere was nice and clean with music playing not too loud but good background music. The waitress was very friendly and quick to take our orders. The food came out pretty quick also. There are vegan and vegetarian options, if you ask them to make it. We ordered the pancakes, with no butter and fruit sauce on the side, and a side of hash browns with sautéed veggies on the side. The food was delicious and nicely presented. I highly recommend for anybody to come and eat here, nice family environment. We will definitely be back.”

“My first visit, quite fascinated with the idea of Vietnamese vegetarian. I was a bit skeptical but dishes tasted much better than I expected. However, overall it’s a bit too salty. The sauce for the clay pot pepper fish was way too salty, the fish itself was actually well made. Loved the eggs rolls, has a crunchy chewy texture, quite nice. Hope they’d consider reducing the salt level then I will for sure go back.”

“I've tasted many tacos from different trucks ranging from Long Beach to East LA, and I have to say this truck is the best one by far! I only go here for my Mexican food craving. The food is amazing, no other words can describe besides that they are the best.The quezadillas are immaculate. I prefer to get the Al Pastor as a meat, but I love the tacos as well. The cashier is so nice she brought my food to me directly i was hungry i ordered me sandwiches :) and each one was great the cheddar egg bacon, the ham and cheese croissant and the healthy lil box that has hummus, green peas and carrots, bread and a white chocolate mocha (comes with whip cream if you’d like) This place makes my day better so glad they open early Starbucks you are so cool I’m going to be a regular. “I got the jujube and purple rice yogurt and it was delicious!! This flavor of yogurt is pretty hard to find outside of china so I'm really happy they opened here in LA. The texture is just the right amount of thick and creamy, with the rice adding a good crunch. “Craving for some Chinese pies, decided to order from this northern Chinese Cafe. I was going to order online, however, the menu was not complete. In the end, I called. I ordered noodle w/ bean paste (炸酱面), pork pancake, juicy pork dumpling (小笼包), beef roll, and pan fried pork dumpling. Their noodle was amazing, thin and chewy, the meat sauce tasted delicious. The pork pancake was superb, juicy meat w/ thin crust. However, the pan fried dumpling and juicy pork dumpling were not up to par, the skin was too thick, and no meat juice in them, very dry. The beef roll was fine, crust and meat were good. I will definitely get the noodle and pancake again.”
