“Staying at Sacred Rock Inn was an absolute delight! What a hidden gem! The property is just stunning, with the most breathtaking panoramic ocean views you can imagine. And let me tell you, the rooms are not only spacious but also super luxurious – it felt like a slice of paradise! But it's not just the place that made our stay so memorable, it's the people too. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. And don't even get me started on the food – it was downright delicious! Every meal was a treat for the taste buds. And talk about location! With the beach just a quick walk away, we had a blast soaking up the sun and surf. Plus, being close to the redwoods and hiking trails meant we got to explore some of the most beautiful scenery around. And let's not forget about the wineries – there were so many nearby, it was like a wine lover's dream come true! Overall, Sacred Rock Inn was the perfect place to kick back, relax, and recharge our batteries. We left feeling completely rejuvenated and already counting down the days until our next visit. Trust me, you won't want to miss out on this little slice of heaven! Five stars just don't seem like enough to express our gratitude for such an incredible experience”

“We really enjoyed our dinner here. The food and service were great (Thank you, Moy!). We went with the two specials - fresh fish for me and combo plate for my husband. We have had a few meals in Fort Bragg since eating at Dijon, and it still tops our list for the best fish/seafood. Wish we'd had our last dinner here rather than our first, since it was downhill after that. 🤷♀️”

“I have tried street tacos de carne asada from dozens of places. That's carne asada, white onion, cilantro, lime, and hot sauce (preferably habañero). This is the best...effing...taco I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and get yourself 4 of 'em. I also tried the chicken taco and it's the bomb diggity.”

“We came for a romantic New Years Eve weekend in quaint Mendocino. In general we liked it, but with some caviates. Our first impression with the room was one of a disappointment. We stayed in room 12 and the pictures did not really represent the feeling of being there. It seemed quite outdated on first arrival. The odd windows placement at the floor was what counted as "partial ocean view" but only if you squat down to look, while leaving that window unblinded leaves you feeling a bit exposed to outsiders, so we never really had it. The old carpets and ugly paint didn't help. And there wasn't good ventilation for when it got hot at night. I get they want to keep the quirky unique feel from room to room, but imo they could have done more with the room to make it feel the price we paid, even while keeping its charm. Regardless we settled in and had a good time regardless. The large bath and hot tub definitely helped. It has a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere, and was the break we were looking for from city life. Note: they only refresh your room if you ask, so be sure to do so if that's what you are expecting. For breakfast you get choose a dish off the menu. Over 3 days we got try most of the menu and it was all pretty good. Far better than your average free breakfast. They use local/organic ingredients wherever possible, which was a welcome change vs corporate hotels. There was a little bit of inconsistency in the meals, we got the eggs benedict twice, and once the sauce seemed broken, whereas the second it was gorgeous. Also while the breakfast is "free" you still pay a service charge of around $4 a dish... so more like almost free. Breakfast is definitely still worth it, but imo they really should just comp that too cause it was odd enough to stick out. We may look to come back again, but will be sure to book a different room.”

“Wonderful inn on the coast. Access to trails right from your room. Breakfast delivered daily using their own eggs and other goodies. Coffee was top notch. Starting in February 2024, salads and pizza are available on property and the product is delicious! Multiple state parks in the area to explore with endless restaurant options that leverage local produce and seafood. 5 minutes to the town of Mendocino, 20 to Fort Bragg.”

“I knew there had to be a coffee place in Laytonville. We spotted it and pulled in. I saw the liquor signs and had my doubts. The young person behind the counter was quiet and reserved. That’s ok by me because that breve was one of the best I have ever had! Going to stop every time I pass through the area.”

“Excellent Christmas dinner! Portions are very generous, and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The service was great. The prime rib meal was great, only just a tad chewy, but everything else made up for it. We definitely give them another try.”

“Came to visit Fort Bragg from sac. Pizza was amazing! All you can eat buffet from a hot assortment of pizzas and fresh salad bar, knew it had to be the SPOT! Staff was incredibly friendly and made a super comfortable atmosphere. Thank you!”

“Good food is a premium in Covelo, so with the new addition of 162 Burger Bar, a food truck monopolizing and empty lot, comes a heaping helpful of new options. The main attraction, of course, are the burgers and sides like traditional French fries, lightly battered onion rings, or heavily battered jalapeno poppers and mozzarella sticks. They also have excellent milkshakes! I recommend the chocolate. This isn't fast food, however. So be prepared to spend a few extra dollars, and wait a few extra minutes for your food to be cooked to order. As it is brand new, there is only one picnic table to sit at, so you'll be enjoying the wait in your car, Drive-In style.”

“This spot is amazing. The owners are friendly and the food is top tier. Our kids even loved it! Lots of well made grab and go. This is 5 star across the board! A must go-to for quality poke bowls which was my favorite. BUT everything was amazing. So many fun obscure candies and bottled marbled sodas. We will make this a family stop every time we visit! Thank you all at Gnar Bar!”

“Huge portions! Salsa bar was a surprise. Wish there was indicators as to heat content. Grabbed a HOT one. Woo!! Carnitas was dry, but taste was fine. Rice was excellent. Beans were a different flavor. Not bad, not what I had imagined. Service was great! Server was sweet as can be. Checked often. Kitchen staff smiled and waved. Food came quickly. Will be back to try something different. Menu is huge and has different dishes than other Mexican restaurants around.”

“This review has been on hold for too long. So on Wednesday I was over the hill for a doctors appointment and a bit of shopping. I was famished on my way home and remembered one of you our amazing friends telling us about an Indian restaurant in Willits… so I had to try it. As I approached there was a ton of kids on break for lunch from school milling about. As I entered I was greeted warmly and looked around. Nestled within this convenience store is a little restaurant. As you can see their menu is copious. Interestingly at this time of a Hindu festival it’s all vegetarian/vegan until the 25th, I wasn’t daunted in the least. I was given samples and everything from the Dal to the Bhaingan was divine. I had a mushroom dish, cabbage dish and an eggplant to go with my rice and naan. The portion sizes are huge, flavor amazing and service was friendly and professional. Try the tamarind sauce, it is perfection. I recommend that all of you stop in and give them a chance, please tell us what you think. I will be back for their Goat curry 🙃. Once again Willits hits a homerun with the diversity of their dining choices.”

“This place is great! We got seared ahi, seared scallops, and braised pork belly tapas, and shared a seared scallop ramen bowl, with extra egg and extra noodles. Omg soooo good. You'll want to roll in their broth, and chug a gallon of their chimichurri. Everything was super flavorful and cooked perfectly! The staff was really friendly, and as an added bonus, they were playing Beach Boys while we ate, and that was fun! I want to try the whole menu! 11/10”

“Very delicious and hearty meals in a bright ambience and friendly service. We definitely want to come back another day to try their lunch and dinner options. My husband and I each got the Garden skillet, then I also got the oatmeal. I couldn't finish it all but it's coming home with me for later. We also got a strawberries and cream waffle to share which was delicious. The waffle stood on its own for flavor but also went really well with the strawberries and cream. We got the real maple syrup on the side which was also very tasty on the waffle.”

“This was my last stop on the way back from a 3 day redwoods trip. The restaurant is easy to find with plenty of parking. I ordered the ham and cheese crepes along with some coffee (don’t expect anything fancy as they didn’t have espresso machines). The meal was simple and filling. The restaurant was nice/clean and only a few minutes from the heart of Willits.”

“It's a starbie's baby. You can't usually go wrong. But I tried to order a holiday drink and they messed it up so bad.. So I had them make another one. And they messed it up a different kind of way. So I said screw it went outside and handed it to the homeless person. And then I debated going to mcdonald's because I figured they would be able to at least only screw up my ice cream order”

“Pleasantly surprised with this new restaurant. We came for the grand opening and ordered the Seared Bison and New York steak dinners. After dinner we sat by the cozy fireplace in the pub area for cocktails. The food and drinks were very prompt and well presented. Definitely coming back to try the pub foods.”
