Café Carmel

Nice, clean shop. My mother got a BLT here and said it was some of the best she’s ever had. We both also enjoyed our pastries, although I wish they’d offered to heat them up for us, considering our meals were dine-in.

The reason I removed two stars is because I ordered their house soup, which comes in one size and costs nearly $10. What I received was a bowl of clear, unseasoned broth with boiled chicken, onions, and cabbage. I truly paid $10 for the kind of food you would find at a local soup kitchen. This was war camp soup.

TLDR: get a pastry, skip the soup.

Cafe Carmel is exceptional! Lovely pastries and desserts. Wonderful owner head pasrty chef (Sarah Cook) and lovely staff. Cafe Carmel is a wonderful supporter/partner of Peace of Mind Dog Rescue, a local senior dog rescue!

We stopped by when it was closed but loved the look and location. We will definitely come back and try the food. Based on the looks and area it will be 5 stars until we get to eat there.

Great planner right in the heart of Carmel. I tried the breakfast burrito and it was amazing. So good, came with fresh pico and hot sauce. I would drive a good distance to get this burrito. Stop in!

I had the Eggs Benedict and they were the best I ever had. Fresh ingredients. Nice staff, they let us have breakfast 10min after the cutoff time.
Excellent quality - price!
