(July 4, 2020, 3:35 pm)Carmel Grill House opened a couple of weeks ago amidst Covid-19's lockdown. We were patrons of this establishment over the Fourth of July weekend. Despite the difficult circumstances of their opening, the Mediterranean food stood out amongst Carmel's more American restaurants. We noticed them because of their elaborate candle lit outdoor dining. They were out of the eggplant and the moussaka, but the mezze platter, the lamb shank and the chicken wings with the delicious buttery rice was quite the treat. Their creamy Black Forest and NY cheesecake were the cherry on top and were exceptional desserts too. I highly recommend trying dinner here!
If anything, I thought the name could be a little less generic!
