Moe's Original Bar B Que

Everything we ordered was hot fresh and delicious...hubby was full and satisfied...We both enjoyed the Catfish PoorBoys with lettuce/tomato...mac and cheese, collard greens for our sides...I got an extra side of Chicken/ Sausage Gumbo and hubby Beef Stew added "MOE" fried shrimp and ribs...they also had Crytal Brand hot sauce...my mom worked there in New Orleans in the early 70's when I was child...super stuffed for our drive back to Reno...Hubby's a truck driver and we had been on the road from Los Angeles load in Reno for the Rodeo decided to get rental and explore to Tahoe.

Southern style bbq with super friendly staff and a gorgeous view of the lake...what more could you want? Had the Turkey sandwich and it was very flavorful but maybe a touch on the dry side. There mac and cheese is always awesome but today I decided to try the jambalaya and man was I glad that I did. The chicken, sausage, and veggies were cooked to perfection and imparted magnificent flavors. The ribs fall off the bone and are always a can't miss choice. If you are in Tahoe City and enjoy bbq do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Phenomenal food/ staff/ service/ prices/ everything! They sometimes run out of certain items, but it's because it's all so good. The view of Tahoe is outstanding, as they scored such a great location. It can be a bit tricky to find as it's off the main road, but don't give up! 100% worth the visit.

For the food it was definitely five stars! So why the four? It was difficult to find seating on a Saturday night, as their process is for the customer to walk up to the bar, place the order and find an open table. Also, their window /plexiglass was not sealed. It was a cold night and there was a draft and I had to wrap my jacket around my legs to keep that side warm. It was also very dark at night, the red Edison lights didn't really provide much practical light.... and all of that did not change how delicious it was. It was definitely worth the hour plus drive from the Hard Rock Hotel where we were staying. Beautiful drive.

Best BBQ I've had! We had the ribs and the pulled pork, both of which were so smoky and juicy! The ribs were melt in your mouth good and fell right off the bone! Service was great, and the bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu as a whole. The BBQ sauce was so good that we bought a jar for us, and two more jars for friends! This place is right on the waterfront with amazing views of Lake Tahoe, and yet it was very fairly priced! We are already planning to come back when/if the Lord provides for us to visit this area again!
