“Chester is a hard town for new restaurants to survive, but I think Lola's is doing everything right. Not only are they located in a decades old, established restaurant building, but brought everything up a notch. The food is fantastic, eggs Benedict done perfectly, everything else had great flavor, just the right amount of salt and spices. Went in with a friend on 4th of july weekend, got seated quickly, service was great, never left waiting and never annoyed. Support this new local restaurant! The people are great, the food is great, and most importantly... THEY KEPT THE TRAIN!!!!”

“We really enjoyed staying at the Bidwell House. We only stayed one night, and certainly would stay there again. It was less than an hour from Lassen National Park. The check in was smooth and welcoming. We were given good advice on where to eat locally. Wine was available in the evening at a reasonable price, and we enjoyed the amenities of the room. Breakfast was fantastic---the hostess prepared frittatas, and an attentive server took great care of us. It was a wonderful stay.”

“The ladies in this shop are so friendly! I popped in mainly asking for directions to a day use area when we got done camping, and they genuinely rallied at the counter to help me find a good beach for us to finish our trip, even writing down directions for us; It may have been a distracation because, while they were talking about spots, their bannana bread crept up my nose, and I just had to buy 2 slices before I left.... MMMMMMMM! Everyone in the truck was happy I did, and most of us agreed it was some of the best bannana bread we've ever had - Not Kidding! Please, if you are in the area, stop by this spot, and try! You will not be disappointed!”

“I want to like this place because the location is great as the place is spacious and the food came out quicker than expected. However as with any monopoly this "only" pizza place in Chester doesn't excel in flavor. I ordered cheese and the pesto garlic pizzas along with 2 different flavors of chicken wings and nothing stands out. The pizza is too fluffy both in the dough and the cheese. Pesto is not enough to balance out the garlic in the pizza. The chicken wings are not flavorful enough to be better than fast food chicken wings although they are certainly edible. I wish there is more competition but then in a small town it's just not practical.”

“UPDATE!!!! 4-12-22 They aren't great at the diner type food. They will be hiring new cooks to cook the diner type food. But! What Chef Jenny is excellent at is SUSHI!!! Believe it or not, it's REALLY GOOD!!! I won't order from the old menu. But I WILL be enjoying the sushi there! What a wonderful addition to Chester!”

“A magical little spot in Chester, CA. My wife and I enjoyed a black coffee with our breakfast (Rusty Roof Coffee). I'm told that it was local roster. I was tempted to take advantage of the free refills! We really loved the attached bookstore and the gorgeous atmosphere. I enjoyed one of their corned beef dishes, made with their own home made corned beef, while my wife enjoyed a wonderful goat cheese and spinach scramble. Tucked away in the indoor window seating made for a wonderful little stop in the mountains. If you get the chance, we encourage a visit!”

“This is a great place to come and definitely a tradition of mine every time I’m in town. You are probably asking why the 3 stars. Normally when I come here I’d rate it a 4-5 but this time the bathroom was very dirty and my onion rings where undercooked. That is a star for each. The atmosphere, burger, and shake were fantastic though.”

“Party of 12. We called roughly hour before arriving, staff were welcoming of our large group, and gave us a heads up that there was only one cook. We never would have noticed though. Wait was not long at all, food was all hot and delicious. Waitress was on top of it, and we never waited long on any request. The ranch house and their staff did amazing. Friendly smiles, hot food, great service. We sat in the yard out back, it was very cute, loved the natural landscaping with the lavender. Just a great atmosphere. Wish I would have grabbed a photo of the outdoor patio. Great ending to our day of hiking and playing at Lassen Park. Will definitely be back, thank you all!!”
