“This is so how a super fun experienced. We were so confused why this business doesn’t have a website or much photos. It is combined with the Mexican restaurant, so don’t be afraid to try it. Excellent customer service and delicious roll. A lots of meat and fresh ingredients. Very clean environment and would definitely be back again. Highly recommend this for sushi rolls!”

“We went on Father’s Day and there was no wait, we were seated outside but it was nice with the fans and mist. Our server brought out chips and two kinds of salsa pretty quickly! We ordered nachos, taquitos, grande burrito, kids quesadilla with tots, & kids bean and cheese burrito with rice. Took awhile to get our food and the taquitos were definitely burnt on one side but they put that side on the bottom to cover it up, still tasted fine but should have been remade. Overall a pretty good experience, nothing magical but good!”

“Friendly staff, nice indoor/outdoor seating, food was just ok. It says something when the bowl of fruit was more exciting than the entrees. Stopped by on a Saturday around 11am and this place was slammed — line going out the door kind of busy. (TIP: Figure out what you want to order and then send someone from your group to go snag a table while waiting in line.) The Broccoli & White Cheddar Quiche had a strange crust — chewy rather than flaky. It needed a hit of salt and pepper to give it some flavor. Would not order again. The Grilled Chorizo Breakfast Burrito reads beautifully on the menu but eating it was a different experience. For about 3/4 of the burrito everything had the same soft, almost minced texture until you come across some nice chunky potatoes. Sliced grilled chorizo sausage might solve the texture issue. It was filling but could also use some seasoning to give it more layers of flavor - fresh chopped parsley or cilantro would help. At $17.50 it did not hold up. With how popular they were and the high ratings we may have just picked the wrong items on the menu? Next time we will try some of their other options.”

“I ended up here by accident, but damn glad I did! Everyone working here was extremely courteous, came by multiple times to check on me, on the quality of food, if I needed anything, etc, which seems to be rare these days. I had tried a curry pizza in SF, which just wasn’t very good, but the pizza here was EXCELLENT. Dough was perfect, plenty of cheese and toppings, but not too much, little burnt cheese crispies on the edge of the pizza which are one of the best things in life IMHO. Honestly, I looked at the prices before ordering, and thought it was a bit on the expensive side for pizza, but 3/4 off the way thru a 12”, I will say the pricing is actually a great deal for what they serve, and the service they provide. Curry Pizza House salvaged a long, cruddy day. Thank you!”

“Not sure if anyone has been hoping for a hot pot/shabu place to open up around here, but I was and I’m glad Tao’s Hot Pot and Shabu opened up in Folsom! If you have never tried this type of food, you pick from a selection of soup bases, then pick your meats/veggies/carbs etc., boil then eat. Basically fondue but not using cheese. They also offer hot food items, such as chicken wings, potstickers, etc. If you can handle spicy then I would recommend trying the spicy soup base, unfortunately I can’t handle heat. The owner is from the hot pot capital of China (ChongQing) so I would imagine the spicy soup base to be quite good. Price is comparable to other ayce hot pot/shabu places, and there are lots of specials during the week (50% off alcohol and free soft drink), I also did the lobster tail add on ($12), so worth it! You can tell it’s really fresh and it was tasty. For my protein I just stuck to beef, both kinds were really good. I got the miso soup base and it was well flavored and seasoned. I’m a big fan of their house special dipping sauce, and stuck to using that. The homemade shrimp balls is also great, and a must order. The shrimp came peeled and deveined, which was nice. To my pleasant surprise they offer yuki no bosha (cabin in the snow) sake. A rarer delicious sake I usually find at fancier establishments. At 50% I just had to haha! I’ll be back to try the tomato soup base soon! They do get busy on the weekends so plan ahead. This would be great for those heading to/from Tahoe as well. Nom nom!”

“Always love a good boba fix! I usually do one of the brown sugar ones but went with the taro this time. Taro flavor was lighter than I would like, but still super tasty. The crème brûlée brown sugar was super good too. Inside is total instagram vibes. Service is always great. If you haven’t had a mochi nut, you need to try it! Like a doughnut but chewy. Fun flavors to choose from as well.”
