Great tasting food, but don't be fooled by the heading "Plates" in the menu; it's a misnomer. What these are, are side dishes, and not entire plates of the side either as the heading suggests, but merely one scoop.

Love love love the skinny Cobb salad with steak! This restaurant is a little on the pricier side $15-$16 salad. But it’s worth it for me. I haven’t tried any other items on the menu but I’ve heard the Mother Earth bowl, chopped vegetable salad and avocado toast are amazing too. Beautiful place to have lunch. They have a patio on the front of the building, indoor seating and backyard seating.

Excellent food. Many gluten free items, clearly marked. If you ask for GF, they ask if it's an allergy. Portions are somewhat small for the price, but it is del mar.

I cannot even start my actual review without first including a statement that the negative reviews of Flower Child are being submitted by those with unreasonably high standards.

As a first-timer, it took less than a minute to find a selection on the Flower Child menu that sounded appetizing... Mother Earth bowl. Once delivered to the table, everything was served on the dish in separate mounds that was only a thorough mixing session away from perfection. All of the food was properly cooked and served in a short amount of time. The highlight of the bowl was the red pepper miso vinaigrette that had a nice initial taste with a slight heat that lingered in between bites.

My co-pilot adventurer for this dining experience chose to order the Thai Dye wrap. Honestly, I couldn't get a solid look at the dish, because it was devoured by the other half of the table. It would seem that the Thai Dye wrap was quite delicious since it quickly vanished in its entirety from the plate.

As long as you're not looking for the genus and species of every single ingredient that makes up each menu item, then I think you will walk away more than pleased after eating at Flower Child. Good. Clean. Food.
