Candied Apple Cafe

Great little cafe for locals. Love their seasoned potatoes and the Monte Cristo is better than Disneyland's (which is really saying something). And they sell canned wine, which is unique.

Too smoky inside from grease cooking, but food was good. Loved the sour cream pie! Very nice folks working there. Feels like your neighborhood spot.

This place has a very cozy and warm feeling to it, I came in here just to see what I could order and found a very impressive menu. From local craft beer, home made pie to BBQ food (by the way the brisket is delicious). Highly recommend if you are in Julian.

We had an excellent lunch. I had the brisket sandwich. The beef was extremely tender. I added some of their apple BBQ sauce to my sandwich, and it made it even more delicious. The other members of my party also said that their Cuban sandwich, chicken foccacia sandwich, and French onion soup were outstanding. The apple cider was great on a cold day. For dessert, we ordered Dutch apple pie, blackberry apple pie, and sour cream apple pie. They were better than the place in town that usually has a line out the door. I haven't tried every pie shop in Julian, but this cafe might have the best pie in town. The service was also friendly and quick. We'd love to go back here sometime!

Great food and service. Salad was fresh, burgers were juicy, and pie was delish. Bonus: a nice selection of adult beverages. The whole family enjoyed this visit. We'll definitely be back.
