“I really enjoy stopping by this place for a fresh juice and plant based meal. They use this amazing tasting hemp milk that’s very delicious in their iced coffees. The avocado toast was great as well as the beans and cheese burrito and smoothie bowl with granola! I highly recommend the sunset juice very fresh & very good for you! The staff was very friendly and I will be returning everytime I am visiting Julian.”

“Regulars Wanted shouldn’t have much trouble succeeding with their eponymous goal. Easily the most vegetarian/vegan-friendly spot in Julian. Granny’s was quaint, but this is a welcome replacement. Delicious coffee (oat and almond milk options), and a great, yet simple food menu. They have a variety of pastries (with vegan and gluten-free options), and affordable breakfast options, mostly egg/protein/side/sauce options. Their sauces are homemade and delicious, and there are many vegan options among the sides and sauces. Everyone is also very nice and genuinely cares about your experience.”

“In love with Mom's pies; my wife is a fan of the apple pie so we went to Julian to try the pies. Is so good that a whole pie only last a couple of hours when we arrive home. They also have a great variety of other pies. Is a bit overpriced bit the quality is awesome. If you go to the store that is in Julian is a huge waiting line. Definitely we're coming back!”

“Amazing place! Lovely, family owned and operated, quaint and still spacious, elegant yet casual (we showed up after a hike and fit right in, though it's a perfect place for fancier dress). The atmosphere is just right, not snooty or bougie, and not rushed or impersonal. All the staff was extremely attentive and friendly and patient. And finally.... THE FOOD!! The taste is as impressive as the presentation. Delicious. Great purposeful vegan/vegetarian options and healthy options, and of course the less healthy options... all were very well done. So glad we saw this place driving by and made the impulse u-turn to check it out! Great dining experience all around. Highly recommended!”

They also have the best fruit punch around! I built my own pizza: pepperoni, bacon, and jalapeno. The bacon had a smoky taste to it that I have never had anywhere else, truly one of a kind!”

“The place is absolutely beautiful! It’s so neat how they’ve taken this old house and have turned it into this wonderful restaurant/food establishment. It’s very charming inside. The staff were absolutely wonderful. The waitress was very friendly and the service was very prompt. Unfortunately I’m giving it three stars instead of five because our food was not very good. I ended up getting the SWEET WALNUT SALAD which was $ 12.00. All that was on a plate was the bunch of lettuce was some salad toppings and that was it. One would expect that there be more substance in the salad. I ended up not finishing it. My friend had the soup and salad combo and the tomato soup with the spinach was just overrun with too much spinach in it and not easy to eat. Unfortunately his ‘salad’ It was just nothing but tossed lettuce with blue cheese dressing. When one hears the term “salad” you’re thinking vegetables and various things are added to it... I hate having to write anything negative about any business, especially a business that has so much potential like this one does.”

“Mom’s pies are delicious. As soon as you walk in the door you get a warm feeling. You can smell the pies outside as you approach the building. Once inside you can pick from a variety of items on the menu. There are a few tables available for their customers. Mom’s Pie House is located right in the center of downtown Julian. We like going early in the morning before the crowds arrive. It’s a cozy atmosphere.”
