Great place to eat with good margaritas. Wait can be a bit long on a popular day and the food is very good but I always leave feeling like I ate too much. A bit loud inside but nothing too disturbing for normal conversation
The food was simply delicious. The staff kept checking up on us, and was overall very attentive. I will definitely be returning sooner rather than later!
Don't let 3 stars dissuade you. The food is ok, the drinks are decent and the prices are fair. With Ponce's, you just need to know what you're getting. The bartenders are always great and it's just a chill spot for quick dinner and drinks.
Surf and turf burrito was amazing. Served piping hot. The sauce inside was to die for. Nachos were also a hit. Definitively going back!
My journey with Ponce's began when the restaurant was much smaller and had counter service. All waitresses were about my mother's age and Ponce was the chef. About the strongest drink you could order was a wine margarita or perhaps a beer. Ok, so maybe a few things have changed since the late 1970's. In my opinion one can judge most Mexican restaurants by the quality of their rice and beans, both really good here. Anything with enchilada sauce is also good. My favorite item is the house margarita, on the rocks! Order it during happy hour and you can super-size it for $1 more. Be sure to enjoy this responsibly. If needed, there's a Starbucks up the street if you need additional time to process the food and drink. It's a local favorite, just get there early as it can get busy during prime dining hours. if you have to wait, head to the small bar at the rear of the dining room and try the house margarita. Enjoy! Cheers!
