“I don't drink alcohol and the first few times I went to Local Roots, there were several rotating NA options on tap. More recently, they have limited it to 1, but were also offering can pours so there were still multiple flavors to chose from. When I went back with my partner this weekend, however, the bartender told me that the cans are only available for purchase in 4- or 6-packs so I didn't order anything. I'm disappointed because it was my favorite place to take friends and visitors for drinks, but without the NA options it's much less appealing. They have the cans refrigerated next to the bar, I hope they make these available to enjoy onsite again in the future.”

“John's Market on the corner of Valley & Vera in Eden Gardens, Solana Beach is our #1 go to now! They have a grocery store of fresh fruits, vegetables, pan rolls, fresh made tortillas, meats, fresh homemade chorizo with NO PRESERVATIVES, eggs, Mexican spices, creams and so much more! This is a new establishment opening in 2022. As another reviewer stated, skip Gelson's, Von's or Sprouts and give this traditional place a try. This is a family business. Mom, sister and brother John all work here and they are so nice and happy to help you. They also serve breakfast and lunch 7 days a week. Saturday mornings they make fresh carnitas starting at 4am. They start selling it at 7am and it's sold out by noon! We ordered the shrimp and the breakfast burrito today and we were so happy we did. My BF told me this was the best burrito he has ever eaten. Not only that, we both only ate half because it's so big! We now have another meal. We will no longer be frequenting Mexico Viejo. This grocery store and restaurant will be getting our business moving forward! Give them a try!”

“Great atmosphere inside with a bonus patio to enjoy that amazing SD weather. The service is right where it needs to be 5 star all the way. Their drink menu is really good, and the food menu has a good amount of choices. Went with the Caesar salad which was great, probably the best item we had. Next up we went with the executive board as I'm a fan of dry aged meats. Great flavor, cooked well with a good assortment. The accoutrements were ok not amazing, favorite was the horseradish. Sides were creamed spinach and onion rings which were both good Overall great spot, really good service and great food but for me the food wasn't as exceptional as I had hoped, especially for the price. I will go back and try some other menu items but this is my first impression.”

“Goldie Pops is simply fantastic. We stop by the booth at the Carlsbad farmers market and grab a few bags whenever we need. For the popcorn fans out there, be sure to try the Dill Pickle flavor after putting the bag in the freezer for awhile! This stuff is seriously next level good. Chili lime and Salt & Vinegar are a few of our other favorites as well but I'm sure they're all terrific! These will make great gifts this holiday season for any of your snack loving friends. 11/10 would recommend to anyone!”

“Very nice Starbucks. This Starbucks is wide open with alot of seating. This place has a nice outdoor patio as well. I was here on a Sunday morning at 9 o'clock. The line was long and moved kind of slow. I think that they may have been under staffed for this crowd. There is plenty of parking and it is in a nice shopping center. 5 stars would have been easy if it was a little faster.”

“Wonderful atmosphere, great coffee and even better food. Is frequently very busy, and parking can be difficult despite being next to the train station lot. Would recommend either going early or going on a weekday. If you do have a wait, there's an attached bakery and cafe around the side of the building to pass time in. Claire's is also priced very reasonably compared to other sit down breakfast spots in the area. I would strongly recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes, but you can't go wrong!”
