New Owner but still really good soups and nice service!
The soondubu soup flavors are there. As solid as it gets. Sometimes, soondubus end up tasting tasteless, but not here. And purple rice? Yes, please. Yum!
It was on the definite pricier side though. After the 500 fees it takes to order a dish, lunch cake out to $50+ for two dishes. A bit ridiculous to be real honest. But it’s the times we’re living in I suppose.
Oh and also. Their seafood add-on prices were too high. Had some calamari at home that I tossed into my veggie soondubu when it arrived! Win win!
Really liked the purple rice + eggs + veggies based sizzler bowl. It was tasty, fresh and light. If you want a light dinner and want it hot and fresh their purple rice bowls are a good bet
I visited this restaurant when passing by San Francisco. Spicy pork (pork bulgogi) was the best, which is literally a must-order dish of this restaurant in my opinion. It was served with blanched cabbage and soy bean sauce (된장), I could make a wrap with rice, meat, soy bean sauce and the cabbage - as usually we do in Korea, and that was so excellent. I think the chef have perfectly blanched the cabbage. If I lived in SF I would go there every single day.
This place used to be Stone Bowl Plus. New owner, redesign, and menu. Menu is similar and food is still good. Seafood pancake was kind of small and a little inconsistently cooked. Otherwise, no complaints.
