“Great all you can eat hot pot. Parking is street parking in residential area. The broths have to good flavor, but the also have a well stocked sauce bar with in-house soy sauce. Lots to choose from even kobe beef. Great service, as the food comes out quick. They even give a small discount for paying cash”

“Very small mom/pop type place. No frills and cash only. However, very popular with the regulars, including me. Love relaxing there, reading newspaper over coffee and delicious won ton soup. Also, enjoy seeing the regulars. Seems especially busy on weekends, but worth the wait for a seat. Breakfast looks delicious!”

“Coffee is not good. Eggs for sandwiches are made in a microwave in a plastic container. Otherwise, the place is very cute and eclectic. I'm sure some pastries are delicious, but I only came for coffee and if you are looking for more than just a wake-up drink, it's very disappointing.”

“Java Beach is one of my new favorite coffee spots. From the outside seating, there is a beautiful view of the Pacific ocean, and when it's nice outside it feels like heaven. The coffee is also amazing at Java Beach, and so are the pastries and other things they sell. Prices are a little expensive but still reasonable compared to other places in the city. Employees are very helpful and kind.”

“My new favorite spot for sandwiches. Lou's has so many different choices and I plan on trying them all at some point. I went with the crab melt this time around and it definitely hit the spot. On previous visits I've had their turkey and cranberry, roast beef with mushroom and their ultimate club. So far, Lou's has been on point with each sandwich. Prices are very reasonable. Parking might be a small problem but, just keep looking on the streets parallel to Lou's and you should be fine. They do have the typical lunch and dinner rushes so if you're inclined I would suggest ordering your sandwich ahead of time and basically cut your wait time in half. I suggest looking at their menu before hand so it makes ordering less overwhelming with all the deliscious choices. Would I come back? I've been back 4 times at this location and plan on using them to cater for an upcoming luncheon at work.”

“Really nice sandwich shop. Nice bread and awesome homemade sauce. the sandwiches are filled with toppings. The soup here even good too. The price is pretty good for the amount of food you are getting. there are a lot of variety to choose from too. I would give it a try.”

“This Kosher bakery is very clean and the staff are friendly. This morning I tried the large mushroom pastry, it's very delicious. The dough is soft and fresh, it has a very special favor. I know they also have different donuts, chickpea pockets, pastries, and many more that other places don't have. I need to try them all.”

“First time I went to try it with a friend, a cold Saturday morning, waited about 30 minutes and no one showed up to open, so we left. Second time, also a Saturday for brunch, the coffee drinks took almost half an hour and the food another half an hour after I asked if they had forgotten us. I have to say they treated us with another coffee, that was nice and that's why I'm giving 3 stars. Food was okay but the portions small for the price -I think this is what disappointed me the most after all that wait. They have potential but they may need more staff and, please, bigger portions... one small waffle in my order, really?”

“Been coming here since the late 90s and the shop was across the street. Still a great place today, wish the can make a website that allows us to order their candy via online order. Its tough missing a great place when you live states away now.”

“Soup (or salad) and fresh, hot buns served with entrees. We ordered the baked pork chop over tomato sauce and baked seafood. I preferred the pork chop; fried and cooked well. The sauce was fairly sweeter than expected but still tasty! Baked seafood had good mix of fresh tasting seafood (squid, mussels, shrimp, scallops)... but the béchamel was heavier than Arnold.”

“We went for lunch here bèfore walking across the bridge. The interior of the cafe could do with am update but the chicken club sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. A very good portion and delicious. Was a little pricey but that's to be expected I guess at such a popular tourist attraction. Please get the club if you go!”

“It was all yummy. I ate the sesame ball before I took a pic. Shrimp dumpling, taro, turnip cake. The lady warmed the cakes in the microwave. Turnip cake was still crunchy and smooth inside.”

“Excellent BBQ Pork sandwich. Crispy pickled vegetables. Think slices of well-seasoned tender pork. No-frills bread that lets the ingredients shine. Would definitely go back for more sandwiches.”

“Great breakfast at Howard's! I had a big and tasty omelette with spinach, bacon and sour cream. Everything served with potatoes and English muffins. The cafe has a warm, if a bit dark, atmosphere. The service has been perfect and you won't ever eat for your coffee refill”

“My girlfriend and I come in on the regular. The family that runs this great establishment is doing an amazing job. The key thing I look for in a family owned business is when they make you feel like you're part of their family and this family does this every single time. Side note, I ordered the pork chops yesterday and one of the owners made a delicious sauce for me that consisted of A1 steak sauce, Tabasco sauce, and ketchup. This pretty much changed the game of pork chops for me because it was an amazing little touch. Thanks again the family of New Taraval Cafe!”

“Much better than the one one Taravel ave. Just drive a little bit farther if you are coming from the north side of the city. They seem to be more competent than the ones on Taravel.”

“My wife and I love this place. Who likes to drink coffee - also recommend visiting this place. Always fresh and very tasty coffee. Very invigorating in the morning before a hard day's work. Delicious and fresh buns can also be bought here. The staff is quick and caring I think that it should be so in San Francisco”

“Unusually great pastries that look like art and taste even better. I haven’t had the breakfasts but the ham and cheese quiche and double chocolate croissants are my favorites. The hot chocolate and coffee is good as well.”
