“This place is such a gem. I have been getting lunch from this spot for a couple years since I moved into the area, always appreciating their working class prices and variety of specials for lunch. But ever since I had their knock-your-socks-off pumpkin pie (not even a big pumpkin pie fan), I started to give their cakes more of a go. Now I always volunteer to be the person to bring the cake to the birthday parties and everyone is always delighted. This is a feel good business to support. I hope they continue to do what they do for a long time to come.”

Stand up folks, who emanate good vibes. If my intuition is correct, which it usually is, their food is likely top shelf. It is one thing to leave a review recommending you patron a place simply for the product/service that they supply to the community. It is another to recommend it because the owners, and operators are great people. From a fellow foodie, chef, and human, I can assure that you will not be disappointed if you decide to do business with Sweet and Sowers. The fact that as a patron of a personal chef, you will likely be inviting them into your home, I believe that the type of person(s) they are is almost, if not more important than the food itself. You can tell by the artistic expression of the plates in their photos, that they put real thought into not only the presentation of their dishes, but overall composition as well. I have no doubt that they are the real deal. It was nice to meet, and converse with you both.”

“They share a storefront with Rooster&Rice. The Rainbow Beef with Garlic Noodles was 10/10. (Only got a photo after devouring most of it.) Seasoned well and beef was very tender. “One of SF’s true hidden gems, and one of the best deli lunches you can find in the whole Bay Area. $16 will get you enough sandwich for two people and drinks, and the food is incredibly good. Honestly, these folks are sandwich artisans of the highest order. And they are incredibly nice people too. It is always a highlight of my day to stop here, see the owners, and get a delicious lunch. If you’re hungry for lunch and this place is open, make the trip! I wish it was open later and on the weekends, but unfortunately this area is pretty dead outside the M-F 9-5 so I can’t blame them.”

Sure the robot, conveyor belt of food and using iPad to order anything was super cool butt once you get passed the conveniences and gadgets, you'll realize the food is only okay - at least that was how I felt.
