“Luigi's was exactly what we were looking for: simple, tasty food. The Greek salad was generously portioned with fresh ingredients and a great vinaigrette. The fries were fresh, hot, and crispy, and were pleasantly served alongside house-made ranch dressing. We also ordered the combo pizza (sans Canadian bacon and salami)--it was an American-style pizza that was well-balanced and satisfying. The entire staff was especially friendly and the dining area was clean and well maintained. Overall we had a great time and we were glad to have chosen Luigi's for the evening.”

“THE BEST PIZZA EVER! It's the only pizza that isn't greasy at all. You can take it home, let it sit for awhile, pick it up and there won't be any grease underneath. The brick oven crust is the perfect balance between crisp and soft. I love their sauce as well, and I'm really picky about sauces. The staff is efficient and friendly. They always make you feel at home. Unfortunately, it has spoiled me for any other pizza, because nothing I try is as good.”

“My boyfriend and I visited here and we both had a great experience. The restaurant was romantic and the atmosphere was very relaxing. It wasn’t very busy at all so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We had the artichoke heart appetizer which was so full of flavor I had to stop myself from licking the plate clean. I ordered the Filet Mignon with mushroom sauce and spinach pie and it was very rich and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the butternut squash ravioli and he says it’s the best ravioli he has ever had. We both ordered red wine and both were delicious. The waitress Diane was very personable and gracious and it seemed like we had known her forever. The whole place felt very warm and welcoming and it was one of the best experiences we have had at a restaurant. The only complaint I have at all is that the espresso creme brûlée, though the custard was delicious the top wasn’t toasted which was a little disappointing, but it was still amazing regardless. I definitely recommend this place for a nice romantic dinner out.”

“We have an annual gathering at San Simeon Lodge and our tradition on Saturday night is a large group enjoying dinner at La Terraza restaurant. Always great food but the service is phenomenal. Always greeted with a smile and servers continually checking to see if you need anything. I would highly recommend anyone in the area to enjoy the great atmosphere. “We ordered takeout from here, and I ordered scallops, which seems to be the most challenging thing a diner could ask of a restaurant. Despite the transportation time, the scallops were fabulous- perfectly cooked. Everything was delicious (fish and chips, scallops, leek tart), fresh and well cooked. I wish we had been able to eat the meal in person (through no fault of the restaurant!) because I can only imagine it would have been that much better served hot and in the moment. But I will say that if you need to do curbside pickup, I haven't seen a restaurant be more efficient about it. They were ready and waiting right there with our food. All around an excellent COVID dining experience.”

“We had the pecan pie, which was quite amazing (I’m from the pecan pie capital, Georgia, and I even thought it was one of the better pecan pies that I’ve had in my day). The shop and bakery were very cute and the worker was very friendly- they had some amazing pastries on display in the case as well. Our only qualm is that it was quite confusing to figure out where to buy just the pies to go. The building that says “Pies” on it is actually the restaurant, not this bakery/cafe- the actual cafe where you can purchase whole pies to-go is hidden behind a very large cactus a ways behind the aforementioned restaurant. The search is worth it though for this pie.”

“Oh my! Just a ways from this wonderful little cafe, is my daughter’s grave. Sometimes I just can not go up the hill and see her. It hurts too much. But here, I imagine her with me at the table enjoying a meal out close by where her body rests. With so much change and loss, a good meal that makes you feel whole always helps with the pain. This place is owner cooked, and is one of the best spots to stop on the coast of California. Try my favorite, eggs Benedict with crispy bacon, on a well toasted English muffin! Enjoy the view, the sun, and good, decent coffee. Hopefully your trip there is for happier moments then mine, but if comfort food is indeed what you seek then here, you shall find.”
