(February 8, 2019, 3:40 pm)Zen Bistro easily has the best hot sushi in the Bay Area. Their sauce and ingredients blow out everyone else. Although not cheap, they sometimes have a half off on some days, which is enticing.
I've been here for many years and the staff has generally been very friendly and attentive. Only once did I have a nasty waitress a long time ago.
Food-wise, I highly suggest getting their fried mushrooms and tofu. They have a lot of delicious small dishes, which I've not seen in other J-restaurants. Only thing is their kara-age is not as fluffy or tasty as I used to like it.
Overall, I can highly recommend this place for any occasion. -
