Great service and great food! Really good for both big parties and small dishes. A lot of their dishes can be single servings. The service is super fast and it’s really easy to pay online.
Dough Zone Dumpling House truly excels in its culinary offerings. The Xiao Long Bao, with its delicate skin and flavorful broth, showcases the restaurant's dedication to crafting exceptional dumplings. The Dan Dan noodles are a flavorful delight, combining rich and savory notes that cater to discerning taste buds. Additionally, the sweet and sour cucumber provides a refreshing contrast, adding a delightful touch to the overall dining experience. This establishment's commitment to culinary excellence makes it a go-to destination for those seeking an authentic and flavorful taste of Chinese cuisine.
It’s very pricey here, but it’s really good! Came to about $27 per person after tax and tip, but we were full. Very conveniently located on the outskirts of downtown San Mateo. You order from an app and the food comes pretty quickly. They didn’t have the fried buns because they ran out of stock, which was very disappointing because they make those really well. However. that made us try the pan, fried beef cake as a substitute, which turned out to be extremely good!! XLB are standard staples and the braised beef noodles soup warms you up in the winter. The chicken potstickers are also really good.
By the way, Dough Zone is a chain. There are a few of them in the Bay Area. And this one in San Mateo is way better than the one in San Jose.
Their dumplings are soooo good!! It's weird because you don't interact with the people who work there, you just order online. Noodles are great, dumplings are great, gyoza is great, it's all delicious. Plus a super cute interior!
The place is nice! The portion for each dish is kinda small so I would recommend 4 dish per person. But the small portion (reasonably priced) give you the option to try out more flavors!
The beef noodle (牛肉面)is the best and I will order again! The spicy and sour noodle (酸辣粉) is average and I wouldn’t order again!
The fried dumplings 🥟 (锅贴)are great! I would 100% recommend.
