Their Tegone Hamburg (手ごねハンバーグ) Curry is a wonder! It was so surprising, of course in good way, that such umamiful, well stewed curry sauce there is in the Bay Area! So complicated flavor of veggies, well prepared and blended into the curry spices, makes the curry plate true state-of-the-art! As born in Japan, I dare say this place serves true Japanese curry!

The place has great food. The curry was great. The system was a bit confusing as it's self-serve and you order at the counter and had to wait for a seat. There's really no system for waiting for a table so that part was a bit confusing. Also when they are busy it takes a long time for them to make the food so expect to wait at least 30-40mins for the food to be ready. Oh you also had to ask for the radish, I didn't realize this so I missed out on it.

I wish I knew about this place earlier. I had been driving past this place almost every day when I was young. The food was AMAZING. I had the chicken katsu curry and the chicken was cook perfectly. It was super tender and juicy. The curry was flavorful. I will be coming back for more soon.

Get here early because there is always a line! They make each plate to order so you’ll need to sit down or stand to wait about 15 min for a fresh hot plate of curry with steaming rice. Even the salads are delicious!

The best Japanese curry in the south bay area. I recommend adding the steamed vegetables, and "hot" is a mild spicy if you want to add a little kick. However, it is very popular, so expect 1 hour or more to wait in line to order and then for your or your to be cooked. Also, good luck getting seating to eat there if you can.
