Angry Chickz - Nashville Hot Chicken

Good chicken, big sliders and the scale of heat is relatively true. I ended up with a medium heat on recommendation and you could taste the spice but it was not enough to make my nose run. If you like em hot get em hot ;)

Where to begin... when I post reviews I mean to be constructive. I understand this place opened up within the last month. I had the combo #3 a 911 slider and a sign a waiver tender with mac n cheese and a sprite. All the ingredients were there the pickles are sweet and slaw is pretty good on the slider. My interpretation of serving chicken on a slice of white bread was to absorb all the juicy sauce.. unfortunately this wasn't the case. I wish I took pics so readers could understand how dry the bread was... It had no sauce drippings. I think they cooked a bunch ahead of time and left them under a heat lamp and it dried out a bit but the chicken was tender. The tender had heat... like ghost pepper flavor which hit pretty good. The mac n cheese was soft and velveta creamy which was pretty good but was hoping for a little baked action. As new as this establishment is believe it has a chance to still become one of the great ones and I'm sure that's the intent. I'm rooting for you.. you could become one of the great ones with a little bit of adjusting.

Prices are rather high. I had the #4 hot and a side of fried. Two tenders is not a for 14. I hoped to have more sauce or sweetness on the tenders. I enjoyed the spice but wanted more flavor than just spice. I enjoyed the coleslaw. Not too sweet. Fries had a reasonable portion.

Really juicy and moist tenders and sliders and really well seasoned fries! Loved how the sliders were built for flavor. Each bite stemming from a soft and buttery brioche bun, to the mild manner slaw, that together made each bite with the chicken a burst of flavor in each bite. My only knock would be that the Mac n cheese was a bit undercooked and reminded me of boxed Mac and the packaging for my to go orders were a bit messy, perhaps because of the lunch rush? Not sure what caused it fries, chicken pieces and slaw were leaking out the sides as if they were closed on too quickly- likely a rush issue but food and taste wise- spot on! I’ll be back to check how they’re doing again soon!

Food really good, however the spice level is a lot hotter than normal places. I recommend going 1 or 2 levels below what you think you can handle. The “hot” (3rd hottest level) is made with ghost peppers. The hottest level “Angry” is Carolina reapers. My recommendation is don’t order angry I took a bite it upset my stomach. Just of tasting it made 3/4 guys in they’re early 20’s tear up. That aside the loaded Mac is amazing and highly recommend it. All the food I tried was very good and staff is friendly.
