Moe's Original BBQ - Eagle

Moe's BBQ is easily one the best bang for your buck spots in the entire Vail Valley. For starters the food is fantastic a solid bbq sauce overly wonderfully smoked meats you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The choice of sides is so complete it leaves little if anything to be desired. Kis meals are filling for your little ones and affordable for you. The sweet tea is perfectly brewed and the atmosphere is always warm snd hospitable. Take the time to get your self a great meal at a great price and enjoy your day!

Order:
- BBQ pulled pork platter with BBQ baked beans, slaw, corn bread, mac & cheese, key lime pie

The good:
- The service was prompt and the staff friendly
- Baked beans were the perfect balance of sweet, smokey and porky
- Slaw, which is vinegar based, had a nice tang and provided a great balance to the rich beans and fatty pork
- Key lime pie was excellent and on the tart side which is something I appreciate as I find most key lime pies are too sweet

The not so good:
- Mac and cheese was bland and really, just pasta with cheese sprinkled over it. Definitely lacking in salt and cheese
- The pork, while moist, which probably had to do with the vinegar sauce placed on it, lacked in seasoning and, more importantly, smoke. I really don't think that if you blindfolded someone and had them smell the pork, that they could tell it came from a smoker

Overall, the sides were really the stars of this meal.

It's late and we have 3 hungry, tired kids who have spent hours in the car. The food came so fast, we weren't done paying for it yet. There's a kids table for preschoolers to sit and eat at. There's a play area outside. The food is good. There's Nickelodeon on the TV. We fed 6 people for under 40 dollars.

Came here in a group of three for lunch on a Monday. Moderately full, plenty of seating. Order and pick up at the counter. BBQ in Colorado - growing up in Georgia and Alabama I thought it would be a gamble.

These people know what they’re doing. Meat is tender and juicy. Fixins are just as good as the meat (telltale sign of good BBQ). No mustard based sauce that I could find which is my only constructive criticism to this place, although I’ve found that finding mustard based sauces outside of South Carolina, South Georgia, and South Alabama is tough. Keep up the good work.

If you're visiting the Eagle, CO area - make sure you stop by Moe's Original BBQ for some excellent ribs and pulled pork. The ribs are seasoned perfectly and just delicious. Pork has great flavor and cooked to perfection. Great place to eat if you love barbeque. Don't be surprised if you find it difficult to find a parking spot at this popular restaurant.
