Huge fans of Craftsman for years, and their new concept does not disappoint. Some of the best pizza we’ve had - ever - and undoubtedly THE best pizza in Colorado. We loved everything, from the caesar salad to the garlic knots. 10/10 all around. (Also - well done on the freshened up decor. So cool.)

il Mago is by far the best pizza I’ve had in the valley!!

Coming in to il Mago, I was welcomed by the staff and sincerely felt at home after passing through their doors.

For my first time in I sat at the bar near the expo line and watched dish after dish roll from the kitchen to the floor while the chef inspected each one individually. Everything looked exquisite.

To drink I kept it simple and had a glass of red, but the cocktail menu looked to be filled with well-rounded and interesting cocktails as well as a nice beer selection. Both bartenders were kind to boot. Grade-A service, pal, and guy, respectively.

For food, I got the broccolini to start. It was spiced right and cooked to perfection.

For the main course I ordered the mushroom pizza with duck confit. I don’t know if any pizza will suffice in the future. It was wildly good, well built and equally well-executed. Kudos and props!!

Not to be too wordy, il Mago is the place for pizza in Vail valley. I cannot wait to try their companion restaurant, The Craftsman. I will be there the next time I’m in the mood for a Philly.

We’re still talking about how great our experience was at il Mago a couple of nights ago. Our group of 11 were concerned about getting seated anywhere, so we expected a wait for a table or even split tables. We left our number with the hostess and ran over to the Drunken Goat for some drinks and appetizers until the hostess texted that our tables were ready. After we sat down, a larger table opened up and the waitress graciously helped us move to all sit together. We enjoyed all the pizzas and the steak was cooked perfectly. Our waitress Raegan was the best we’ve had in Edwards! Thank you for such a great experience!

Best pizza in Edwards hands down. Food was excellent and very creative. We had the Masshole pizza which has clams and the Blizzard of Oz - both Neapolitan style pizza’s. It was delicious. The pasta is mostly homemade and again delicious. Drinks were great. Atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you want some pizza and pasta this is the place to be. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Finally some good pizza in the valley. I’m digging this place a lot, super nice/friendly staff. Pizza done right, a proper looking and operating kitchen. Went in with my wife and baby for some takeout, 20 minutes and we were good to go, on a Saturday night dinner rush! Impressive, clean and professional atmosphere, we will be heading back.
