The matresses in room 25 were not up to par. The lower level Common areas are beautiful, and the gal at the spa was quite friendly.”

“I love food trucks! Stopped by close to closing time but the cashier was still happy to attend to me. Accidentally ordered the veggie tacos not realizing it was part of the breakfast menu but the chef was willing to still make them for me. Before I was able to pay, the chef asked if I would prefer a lunch version veggie taco. They were DELICIOUS! Light but extremely filling. The hostess took care of us and the chef was very flexible on modifying some menu items for our kids. Service was very cordial and friendly. I wasn’t expecting much from their very elevated menu items but when the food arrived everything was very tasty and delicious. Worth mentioning the biscuits and gravy, the quiche, and the banana bread. We will return to try some of their bar selection. Thanks for the great experience!!”

“I’ve been listening to their Totally Deep podcast for several years, but today was my first time in their shop. I was blown away by how knowledgeable they are. I purchased a set of bindings, which they price matched for me, and had them mounted. First off, they did it while I waited, which was very cool. Second, Doug knew that the mount line on the top sheet on my new skis was 1cm off which he adjusted for. He also knew to mount the heel piece 1mm back so that my boot wouldn’t get hung up while touring in flat mode. I’ve been to many shops and none of them had near the knowledge of AT/backcountry/rando gear. I fully recommend these guys...they are even worth the drive from the front range.”

“Four of us stopped in for a late breakfast on Monday morning. There was a short wait, as the place was packed, but we got seated at the counter in about 20 minutes. We quickly ordered a few things like the hangover burrito and the Three Little Pigs omelette. We watched the cooks make short work of all the ingredients in making the homemade corned beef hash, hash browns, and eggs by the dozens. Everything vanished from our plates and we left quickly to make room for those that waited behind us to eat one of the best breakfasts in Vail.”

“I went into this store 3 times in one day and was underwhelmed, mostly out of desperation because there wasn’t anything else around. When ever I travel I seek out vegan friendly and fresh pressed juice establishments in the area. This place certainly serves its purpose but don’t expect to have a lot of options or great service. As a new visitor to a local business, it’s helpful to get input or suggestions from the people that work there. Especially, when you aren’t sure what to get or can’t seem to figure out what you may need at a place that sells prebottled juices. With that said, I’m from a tourist city (Miami/Ft Lauderdale) so either customer service is paramount in my town, and every OTHER city I visit, making good service what I’m use to, or the air is just too thin for locals to think outside the box. It’s pretty much a “sorry, we can help you attitude” so don’t expect them to “go out of their way” to help.”

“Garfinkel’s in Vail, Colorado, is often one of the busiest venues for food and drink in the area. And this is for good reason! Even when completely packed with customers, Garfinkel’s consistently serves great drinks and delicious food. With a lively American-pub atmosphere, one would expect typical barfood. Yet, Garkfinkel’s serves a significantly higher-quality take on traditional bar/pub food, and does so with a refined twist. It is easy to understand why they serve more than 400 customers per day. Locals and visitors on ski trips come here and surely leave satisfied. I know I did. When I recommended this pub/restaurant to others, they already knew all about it and loved it. It is great to see a ski resort get it so right with having a place like this perfectly located in the village at the base of the mountain. Garfinkel’s also is an example of how other bars and pubs need to step it up and serve quality and delicious food. One of the main reasons Garfinkel’s is such a success is due to the charmingly friendly staff headed by Mike Dunlap. Mike knows how to not only maintain consistency, which brings regulars coming back again and again, but he also keeps improving what is already great.”

I was immediately approached when entering the restaurant and I didn't have to wait more than 30 seconds for my waiter after I was seated.
