“Had a truly wonderful experience at Jax. My first night into town, I stopped to see if I could get in. They were fully booked so I made a reservation for that Monday. Janel was so sweet! She recommended an alternative for me that evening and walked me to the corner to make sure I was heading in the right direction. What a warm welcome to Colorado Springs! (and the recommendation was spot on fabulous!) I came back for happy hour that Monday and had the seafood sampler, snow crab, peel and eat shrimp and oysters. It did not disappoint! So fresh! And Janel greeted me back like an old friend. I love to travel and what always is most memorable for me are the people you meet along the way. Thank you Janel for creating some wonderful memories! “My wife (Dawn) and I stopped by yesterday to have lunch at Colonel Mustard's Sandwich Emporium. Being on the west side of Colorado Springs, it was very a convenient location. Upon entry the aroma of the breads are pleasing. As I got closer to the counter, I could see the fresh ingredients that were being used. I ordered "The Colonel-Our Hero" hoagie sandwich & my wife ordered the P.A.B.S.T. sandwich on sourdough. Although they did have an outside seating area, we chose to sit inside during our visit. Very friendly staff. Ask for suggestions, they will guide you through the many selections. Prompt service & Great food!!! They brought us a taste sampler of their mustard inspired ice cream. Although not quite to my taste liking, I'm sure many others would enjoy it. Surprisingly it was sweet. “We always go to this McDonald's and usually its really good the food and the service and i would of given them 5 stars no questions asked but today 7-24-20 their was 2 misshaps with our order but when my husband called to talk to the manager once we got home and seen our order was missing something the manager was really nice and professional and she offered to give us a meal for free all we had to do was drive back give her the receipt and we got a free meal so i thought thag was a really nice way to make up for what happened. Any other time they deserve 5 stars but thats just my opinion.”

Honestly, another reason I made a visit was for the fact that they're open till 1:00 a.m. which is a rarity anymore considering all of the COVID19 restaurant realities and yet, I'm happy to know that there are still a few businesses that want to put a smile on people's faces late at night or early in the morning! “It's the best pizza crust in Colorado Springs! We had the Rocket Pizza, a three cheese pizza with fresh arugula on top. Delicious! Also had lasagna, which is an ample serving with LOTS of the cheeses. This was our first time there so don't know much about the other menu items. We got there by walking and plan on going back soon. They have outdoor seating only at present due to the pandemic. The area has some shade and the tables are cleaned after every customer. It's very clean and has a pleasant atmosphere.”

“Growing up in Florida, my wife know her Cuban food. Once she heard about this new restaurant we had to check it out. We ordered through GrubHub and decided to get the following items: Beef Empanadas, Bistec de Palomilla with a Rice & Beans, & Extra Side of Tostones. We received the food way ahead of schedule and it was still hot by the time it got to our place. Starting off with the Bistec - it’s flavorful and immediately melts in your mouth with a generous amount of flavor. The texture is spot on and reminds us of traditional Cuban food that we could only find in Florida. The Tostones are simply breathtaking. The crunchy exterior combined with the juicy interior makes the perfect texture for well-done Tostones. Also they don’t overdo the salt and it’s the perfect amount of sweetness. Best in Colorado Springs. Lastly the beef empanadas are made with great care and have a great flavor inside the pastry dough. The combination of beef, potatoes, and pastry dough shell is exquisite and needs to be experienced. The rice and beans are okay. Nothing spectacular but my wife loved how subtle and simple they were. Overall, one of the best new restaurants in Colorado Springs. We will be back soon and have already referred our family. They even went the same day they heard about the place and picked up a sandwich! You need to consider this place a top contender when it comes to eating out in North Colorado Springs.”
