“Quaint place. Beautiful area. Food and service are good but not great. Prices are about on par given it is a touristy area. Good selection of interesting beers and cocktails. You can bring your dog. Parking is free, but having enough parking places on a busy weekend evening is problematic. Don't bring a big truck/trailer or class A/B and expect to be able to park it.”

“Happened to stumble across this spot while driving the highway of legends. So adorable with creekside dining. We ate outside and it was around 50 degrees. The waitress offered us a fire and blankets so that we were comfortable. It was so peaceful and everything we ordered was wonderful. It’s my birthday so I had a great little surprise celebration here. Seriously a wonderful memory I will always have. ❤️”

“We stayed in La Veta for close to 2 weeks, and found this restaurant. We really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere! We've eaten there several times during our stay, breakfast and dinner. They're obviously having trouble with hiring and retention of staff, like many places, but I feel They're doing the best they can under the circumstances. I recommend the restaurant!! The food is definitely worth it!!”

“Legends is such a perfect balance of what you want in a restaurant. Firstly, the food is clean and delicious. Gabriella really knows how to cook! We consider it a treat each time- they have a smaller menu you can always count on to be above average, and then their daily specials really shine. Then the ambiance is cute, a little country, relaxed, inviting and warm. Finally, Mickey and staff are very accommodating - for example, we come in regularly with a baby, and they give us tables in the room we like, in the back so we have a place to put stroller behind us. They never hurry us, even when once or twice we lost track of time and stayed past their close times. 5 stars all around.”

“PLEASE EAT HERE! Wow! If you're passing through the area or in the area... do yourself a favor and pay this cute little eatery a visit. You won't regret it and you just might find yourself placing three separate orders like we did because everything was SO GOOD. We ordered four items... then went back in and ordered more... then went back AGAIN and ordered some for the road. Wow. We got the "applejack" sandwich, the cornbread, the green Chile quiche (to die for), and more. The whole time we were there, there was constantly a line of locals telling me how amazing this place is and what their favorite dishes are. There were even people walking in with their own Tupperware and having her fill it up with everything she had. This sweet sweet woman and her son make everything themselves and it's all family recipes. She also has some amazing homemade lemonades. The pink coconut and the honey lavender were to die for. Do yourself a favor and make the stop and support a local business while you’re at it. Anytime we are in this area again, we would definitely go out of our way to come back.”

Philly cheese steak with side of potato salad (best I've had in a LONG time.) Kids corn dog with fries. Homemade Cinnamon roll Food 10/10- hefty portions and great tasting. Cleanliness 10/10 restrooms clean and stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Tina's was a perfect stop for our long drive with a toddler.”

“This is a 3.5/4 star. It's a small local establishment that offers a good alternative to the nearby fast food. Their specialty is a chili burger but they offer a variety of sandwiches, plates, and shakes. They do not make burgers in house but that is no different than the A&W across the street and I feel the quality was better. The green chili was very good and the onion rings were as well. I will return. Only open until 3 pm and closed Sun Mon.”
