    A wonderful experience. Charming decor. Service by Cameron was excellent. Very attentive young man. Great food choices, from basic eggs to elaborate chicken fried breaded poached eggs. The potatoes were my favorite. Homemade biscuits and corn bread. Highly recommend this place!

    To start, the beignets are amazing. Get them. My wife also really loved her fried green tomato. I had the biscuits and gravy, my wife had the buffalo hash/fried Benedict... we both LOVED our food! We will definitely be back. Also, try the bloody Mary flight. Lots of great choices

    Surprising little find on a random a.m. trip to Golden. We got there early morning when the restaurant wasn't packed, fast service, delicious food, nice atmosphere and reasonably priced! Chicken fried eggs and Buffalo hash ???? Must try the sassafras tea.

    My husband and I tried this place for breakfast during our short visit to Golden. It was recommended to us by a local and it was so good the first morning that we had to go back before we left. I had the biscuits and gravy and my husband had one of the chicken dishes the first day (I can't remember the name) and the Chef's special the second day. The lattes were also delicious! Our server Joseph was wonderful, very friendly and took the time to get to know us a little bit. I would highly recommend Sassafras American Eatery to anyone looking for a warm, hearty breakfast!

    First time checking out Sassafras after it had been highly recommended. The food was excellent, I ordered the biscuits and gravy, would absolutely recommend! The initial service/ greet extremely slow. Waited close to 10 minutes for a greet/seat at the door. Thankfully that was the only issue as the rest of the service was friendly and good.
