La Casita de Cortez

Chips are good with the beans and salsa. The beef fajitas is a little overcooked. Dishes are in big sizes. Dessert tastes good, but I don’t remember its name.

As of writing this review, I'd say it's so far the best Mexican cuisine in Cortez.
Homemade salsas, (yes they have more than one) delicious fajitas that were well seasoned and tender. The michelada was on point and didn't break the bank.
A definite recommendation in my book, if not for the fresh roasted and ground salsa in an actual molcajete.
The staff were friendly as hell too, smiles were free.

Amazing! Very good food, delicious with great service. Everything is fresh. The food looks better than the pictures.
They bring chips and salsa as you are seated. We tried house guacamole, steak fajitas and fish tacos. Everything was so good. Fish tacos were grilled and served on hot tortillas. Steak on fajitas was greatly seasoned. Highly recommended.

If you are anywhere NEAR Cortez, CO, this is a MUST STOP! If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I absolutely would!! The Guacamole Fresco is the best EVER. It was good with tortilla chips or even by the spoonful! The Shrimp Taco Special were the best tacos my husband ever had! The Asada Fajitas were also extremely tasty. The staff were also very friendly and attentive!

Loved it! We were immediately seated and our server was the most friendliest and sweetest man ever! He made us laugh so many times and it was such a welcoming and comfortable vibe here.

We had margaritas and I would highly recommend the Cortez. Delicious! We also received complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were still warm and the house salsa was amazing! Everything we ordered was wonderful and we tried the desserts as well. The Churros with ice cream was my favorite and I would pass on the flan.

Make sure this is one of your stops! Your belly will thank you!
