“Great family run gem of a restaurant. You might drive by this place if you aren't careful. Don't! I had the beef fajitas. Great flavor and a nice char on onions. Loved the jalapeños instead of bell peppers. Portions were large. Waitress was super nice, offered great suggestions. Can't wait to go back for breakfast.”

“While traveling through Colorado dining options were very limited. We looked online and found some great reviews on this place so we decide to make a quick stop. The food was quick and delicious for fast food. The prices were very reasonable and the bathrooms were cleaned. Perfect place for a pit stop while driving through. I highly recommend the green chili fries too!”

“This is a family run restaurant. The food is excellent and the staff is very friendly and polite. We tried various apps and steaks and were impressed with all. They use quality ingredients unlike many restaurants that have cut back on the quality of the ingredients they purchase. I highly recommend them!”

“I enjoyed my dinner at Thai Spicy Basil. First, the bad news: I had the Royal Chicken and the sauce was too thick. Also, I would have preferred more heat in the sauce. There's sriracha at the table, but would have liked a little more kick from the kitchen. Now, the good news: Speaking of heat, my food was served at a super hot temperature. The ingredients were fresh and the veggies had lots of flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The sauce tasted exactly as expected. The service was quick and cordial. They had a complimentary iceberg salad with the standard sesame/ginger dressing on the table even before they took my drink order. I wish I could get that kind of service at home. If I lived in Lamar, I'd work with them on my preference for more heat in the sauce. It was good to see they had plenty of business even on Christmas Eve. Would I eat at Thai Spicy Basil again? You bet. Also, to echo a couple of the other reviews, from the outside Thai Spicy Basil looks forbidding, but once you get inside, it's a large, cool, welcoming, and urbane space. Update, 10/6/2020: Since the first time at Thai Spicy Basil, I've taken my family for Christmas Eve dinner three times. It's become a lovely tradition. The food has been consistently hot and flavorful, with portions that are more than ample. The service has been consistently friendly and professional. We're all keeping our fingers crossed that they can be open for in-house dining by Christmas Eve this year.”

“The first things I noticed: the place had lots of parking and the building, fuel islands have seen better days. (Other reviews state that it's a "mom & pops" place with locals running it so, some of the condition makes sense - costs a lot to upgrade.) I used the restroom. It was clean and in good order. I had breakfast, the buffet. I was disappointed. Yes, the price was fair, considering the rise in food prices, but food grade was mediocre with very little variety. I particularly thought the scrambled eggs were over overcooked (I passed on those). The gravy seemed instant/subpar as well. (Not the southern gravy I've come to love.) The waitress I had was pleasant and accommodating. Despite the negatives I pointed out, I'd probably come here again. I believe in supporting local businesses. They need money in order to eventually improve their deficiencies. Be safe out there, folks. Thank you!”

“I love Mexican food and Las Brisas was very welcoming! The staff greeted us and seated us. They started us out with some awesome chips and salsa. The Chicken Fajitas were tasty and filling! I topped it off with an ice cold Chelada! We will be back. Thank you Las Brisas! ❤️”
