“When I say our taste buds died and went to heaven at Hot Taco, I mean it!! First of all, let me just say how impressed I am by their tacos. I recently went somewhere that charged the same price as here for a single taco, and the other place’s tacos were so skimpy. Hot Taco’s are EXACTLY what I’m looking for - you could barely even fold the taco in half because there was so much inside! The menu is creative, and the street food flare is so cool. I absolutely loved the Mac and cheese, which sounded like it was going to be spicy, but actually was just so flavorful. The Brussels were amazing too, and I think it’s awesome that they have California style burritos, because those aren’t easy to find around here! The flavor of the month rotation for their churros is so fun, and I know they’ll continue to add creative options onto this menu. For only a month open in their brick and mortar location, and having it be primarily takeout, we were impressed at how busy they were for a Wednesday night! The food came out quickly, and everyone was so nice here. I’m so happy for them and wish them continued success!”

The most recent visit, the waitress was by herself waiting on eight tables, and the service suffered as a result. “The go-to town diner. I only recently realized that their menu boasts a "house special" in the breakfast entrees, and it did not disappoint. Shaved potato hash browns, cheese, meats and veg in a wonderful breakfast souffle. Staff is busy but dedicated, and genuinely care that you're having a good experience. Being the town diner, they have lots of "regulars", and the staff go out of their way to recognize them. My fiance's family eat here all the time, and they are served their coffee just the way they like it without even being asked. Do yourself a favor: Treat the staff well and come here often enough that they recognize you. The food is good, and the service is cozy. A Cromwell Gem to be sure.”

“This place came from nothing and brought itself up. When it first opened I remember the day. It was a nice half day in middle school five six years ago and it used to be a mini market and they decided to bring in a restraint. I have to say we needed it, and I’m glad we have it. They are a family who owns it. They connect well with the community. The kids who go there love how comfortable they feel.”

“This restaurant opened about 6 weeks ago. It is in the location where Barb and Ken's pizza was located in Cromwell. The new restaurant has updated the interior, added nice tables/chairs, glassware is pretty, and each table near the wall has outlets/chargers. They also have free wifi. The two people working when we were there were knowledgeable and kind. One was the owner and he has previously worked at many high end establishments in CT. We asked for a custom pizza with basil, fresh mozzarella, green pepper and pepperoni. It was nicely done, fresh tasting, thin crust with tasteful sauce. I was pleased with my pizza and they also have an extensive catering menu which looked amazing. The owner also mentioned he can create many other things not on the catering menu, I only need to ask. I hope they do well in this location because they are kind, great attitudes and the food was very good!”
