The service here is great. The food hd a lot of flavor. If you like a good hotdog and some fries in downtown New Haven this is the place for you. Down to earth owner as well!
Black Owned Business
If you’re a hot dog lover, this is the place to go! The owner is extremely personable and the food is the perfect summer lunch. If you choose to eat outside nearby, you won’t be disappointed by the tunes he plays!! Will definitely be coming back!
Firstly... the dogs are FIRE! The menu is extremely creative without going too far. Large selection, including awesome sides. After having a "Bulldog" dog, I literally went right back for another one. Atmosphere is open and upbeat with very tasteful and relaxing music playing. And for the quality, the prices are VERY reasonable.
As for the owner... really friendly and courteous young man. He makes you feel very welcomed and engages each customer as if they are family. He takes great pride in making sure each order is made with the same degree of high quality. He's really a refreshing example of a young American entrepreneur.
Got two combos (drinks not pictured) of the New York and Slaw dog with chicken tenders as a side. The food was delicious (although I found the sauce too be too much) and the service was great and fairly fast and efficient. Good meal for the price. Would recommend the place for a quick bite. Keep in mind there is only seating outside.
I am in LOVE with Bulldog Hotdogs. I like hotdogs, but I am picky -- these are amazing. Food is delicious and well-priced, and toppings are prepared fresh every morning. I highly recommend the creamy Bulldog Sauce -- so good! The coleslaw was delightfully tangy and fresh, and the fries were hot, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. Lots of good outdoor seating, too.
The owner also happens to be a cool New Haven entrepreneur who has years of food service experience working with some of New Haven's great local restaurants. Another great addition to the city's food scene!
