“Blue State Coffee is a small and central cafe in New Haven. I came here with my wife to get a take away coffee. We both ordered a Cappuccino and they offer it with different types of milk. Even though the service was not especially friendly it came quick and the coffee was good. I liked the glassware coffee extractor as decoration while you wait for your coffee. They have some small tables where you will find lots of students working with their laptops or chatting. All in all it's a nice atmosphere and one can get good coffee in the medium price segment and experience of students life style around Yale University.”

“Good coffee and pretty good breakfast sandwiches, although they can get pricey. I like the Egg Ham and Cheese on a crossaint. There are a lot of seats but not a lot of them are available since students occupy them for hours. It is a relatively quiet place so you can converse without any problems”

“We went there Sunday brunch time - and they are known to get very busy! Their pizza was super thin - just the way my family prefers, their burrito was huge, salad was very fresh and filling, and the lentil soup was nicely flavourful! We were glad we sent somebody ahead of time to stand in line ;) and we ate outdoors as the spring weather was nice! They should definitely expand their business, maybe open a new location :))”

I made the mistake of forgetting to ask for crisp bacon when ordering the Vermonter Belgian Waffle, but the staff were very accommodating when I asked for the bacon to be fried crisp. I got double the bacon when they brought it back, which was above and beyond in fixing *my* mistake. The spicy maple syrup for that dish is quite spicy, and they were super about swapping it out for plain maple syrup as well. My significant other had the cilantro lime chicken wrap, which was also delectable. The iced Belgian mocha was simply divine.”

“I will preface this by saying this could be a review for 95% of the Dunkin donuts out there which I guess speaks volumes about their training program. The staff is always more pleasant than any of the other chain coffee places. They will greet you with an actual smile upon arrival at the counter. The establishment is clean and they have a good product at a decent price, relatively speaking. Can't really all for much more than that. Kudos to you, little Dunkin crew.”
