Got a pitcher of mojitos that was very good and tried some of their happy hour food options that were good but on the small side. However, we were very confused when we were given the check before being asked if we wanted anything else. We were thinking about having another drink, but I guess they made that decision for us.

The service was great, I also liked the ambiance it was perfect for a late lunch and good conversation. I had pad thai- I thought it was good, however could use some more spice and less sweet- and my lunch guest had the red curry- they really enjoyed it.

I gave this restaurant 3 stars, because while the food was okay, and the sticky rice was great... Your customer service is atrocious. Why is that when I walk in the door I'm greeted like I'm coming in to rob the restaurant. The host looked at me like I was in the wrong place and was not welcoming at all. It was raining that night, and I had on a sweater coat with the words USA... Like seriously... should I have had on a crown? You would -never- be welcomed this badly in Thailand. The waitress service was quick... the server who brought my food was mute, but was polite. The chicken in the Panang was a little too tough in few pieces, but the coconut spice in the 'soup base' was just right; maybe a little weak on the spice, but it did have just 1 "chili-pepper" rating. My suggestion for your host is to welcome people with the following, "Hello welcome to Mai Thai, would you like the bar or a table..." I felt like I was being screened by TSA before the host ever invited me to be seated... after an interrogation about what I was doing there. Did I miss the magnetometers? My money is green just like everyone else. 3 stars for you.

So delicious!!! The staff was amazing and go for happy hour to get *strong* cocktails and amazing appetizers for awesome prices. Right in the middle of tons of shops and beautiful historic buildings. A lot of charm in this area. No need for a reservation, even at happy hour it was pretty easy to get a table. Definitely worth a visit!
