Kruba Thai and Sushi

Sushi was ok. I've had better around DC. Probably won't come be back to this location for my next sushi craving. Decoration on the inside was pretty cool. They did a good job with it. I just think they need a new chef. I went on a sunday for lunch, restaurant was practically empty, maybe i went at the wrong time??

Kruba won the taste test! I live in the Eastern Market/Capitol Hill/Navy Yard area. Usually choose Sanphan when I feel like Thai. This weekend I ordered carry-out from Sanphan Friday night then similar dishes from Kruba (green curry and drunken noodles) Sunday night. Both are excellent Thai restaurants (Kruba also has Sushi but I stuck to Thai), but the dishes from Kruba were definitely better! More vegetables, fresher tasting, liked the spice more too. I typically don’t go to Kruba because it never seems like people are eating there when I pass by, but the food is superb! Definitely going back more often!

Great food. Nice location on the Navy Yard waterfront. I've only had takeout, so I'm not sure of the service for dine-in. My orders comes out quickly and I'm always satisfied. Today's order was the Gang Ped Yang (Red Curry Duck) which is my favorite Thai dish. Will be back for sushi also.

My office orders take out from here all the time and it's delicious. A little on the pricier side for lunch, but the portions are larger to match. I had the pad thai with tofu which was great!

I have no idea why more people don’t frequent this place as much as other restaurants nearby (maybe because it has been there for a while compared to the new hot spots in navy yard?) but I think their food is fantastic and I have never been disappointed with either eat in or delivery. I love Thai food and this is my favorite Thai place in the city.
