This place is hard to get into, but it's worth making the reservation in advance. We split a ton of vegetables, dips, and sides as a table, and got the whole roast chicken as the centerpiece. Spices and flavors were absolutely delicious, and the waitress was helpful in telling us what would pair well with what. The atmosphere of the building is amazingly cool as well, with the incredibly chic restaurant hidden behind a door (with no sign) halfway down a seemingly random alley. A huge fire pit in the center of the first floor is just one feature of the eclectic and cool atmosphere. You've got to go see it (and, of course, taste it) for yourself.

Amazing dishes, super delicious food! Atmosphere and Ambiance is neat, comfortable and elegant. Amazing with the huge grill in the middle and the open fire! The restaurant appears super clean. Servers are pleasant, communicative, efficient and knowledgeable. And most importantly the food is nicely presented, taste was delicious to a good price point. I can highly recommend to order all the condiments and the eggplant tomato dip!

Very nice middle eastern style bar/restaurant. Very well decorated with beautiful doors. The food was simply delicious. The lamb shoulder is tender and moist. The food is cooked on cast iron pans in the center of the restaurant over a wood fire. It gets busy, so a reservation is strongly recommended. For first timers, the entrance is somewhat hard to find, down an alley, just look for the gorgeous middle eastern door.

We loved Maydan. The vibe was wonderful with the kitchen in the center and the bar at one side. The waitperson was terrific: high energy, funny, and totally helpful. The bread is amazing as are the spreads. The beans were wonderful and the whole cauliflower was delicious. I can’t list everything we ate but it was all just wonderful.
