Stellina Pizzeria

Stellar. The "real deal". Many of the dishes taste as they would in Italy. That is because the ingredients are fresh and very well prepared. The place is super casual... high tables/ counter ordering etc... If you want white line table cloths, try elsewhere. But don't be fooled... the quality is anything but cheap. Truly Stellar.

If you are coming for a New York style pie, go somewhere else. But if you are going for mind blowing CLASSIC Italian pizza, come here. Amazing sauce, toppings (again, I say Italian), and dough. Will be coming back. Thank you for existing.

I get nervous when a new pizzeria opens in DC, a city already saturated with good pizza. However, Stellina breaks through it. Maybe it's because the owners are Italian, but they offer a refreshing take on pizza in the city.

They handcraft each pizza and fire it in a wood-fired oven. It comes out within minutes, uncut to keep it fresh. In addition, they craft quality cocktails and make other dishes like pasta.

The location itself is in a new building near Union Market a few blocks from the NoMa Metro Station. They have bar seating, outdoor seating, and plenty of indoor seats. You won't have to wait to be seated. You order up front, pay, and they bring your food to your table.

It's a refreshing experience in an inviting environment with great service.

The pizza here is absolutely delicious! It's a really cool spot, good food and great drinks. You definitely need to check this place out if you haven't already!!
