“A lovely surprise! Po boys were great: huge fresh shrimp and delicious soft baguettes. Fries were fantastic. Hush puppies: also great! The cole slaw was not what we expected: it was just raw cabbage with blue cheese dressing as a side. A minor quibble! Really happy to have this new restaurant on our end of town. We’ll be back!”

“I just went there for the first time this week. It was delicious! One of the best taco places I’ve been to in a while. Everything was super fresh and cooked to order. I also got some of their spicy red salsa to put on my tacos and it was amazing. The perfect amount of spice and smoky flavor. They also have Coca Cola and I think that goes great with a taco. The service was fast and very friendly. This will definitely be my new favorite taco place.”

“I don't know what Gainesville did to deserve Pleasant Street Pizza, but I'm so glad they're here. The pizza is epic - sourdough crust, homemade mozzarella, Berkshire pork sausage. It's so dang tasty I bought a pizza bag just to squire these discs of perfection back home. As I write this, Pleasant Street Pizza has been closed for a few weeks to remodel their dining room. It's been the longest month of my life.”

Honorable mentions included the Triple Sexy, Long Island, and Spicy Tuna. Each was very fresh, presented beautifully, and full of flavor! It was a very simple and pleasant process to order at the little tow-behind trailer (parked on the north side of 8th Street and just slightly east of the Flashbacks Thrift Store). “Not the best waffle house experience. 2 plates came out mixed up, an easy fix and the cook did apologize. But the food tasted off, kind of burnt but not burnt, like maybe the grill wasn't quite clean or still had some of the cleaner on it kind of taste, or maybe something in the meat used as a flavor enhancer that didn't mix well ... I don't know. On the other hand the hash browns were good.”
