“First time having a Poke bowl it was delicious. I had a 1 protein bowl (in my bowl I had sushi rice, spicy salmon, corn, mango, cucumber, avocado, eel sauce, crispy garlic, pickled ginger and yum yum sauce)with a grill eel roll (love grilled eel). Their prices aren’t bad and you get a lot of food before door dash fees etc these items came to $18. I will definitely eat from here again.”

Token Ramen

Address: Located inside of Kung Fu Tea, 3102 SW 34th St, Gainesville, FL 32608, USA

Restaurant

“Pretty decent bowl of Ramen but Tolken Raman is part of and inside of Kung Fu Tea so I wasted time driving around the building and was about to give up til I walked in the tea place to ask questions. The Ramen Broth was decent and the tonkatsu pork was sliced very thin and was delicious but only two slices. They also have bento boxes which are ok too if they were not so very expensive for what you get. I mean a boatload of rice a tiny amount of chicken, corn and seaweed salad. You get mostly white rice and you pay for it really well. Bento boxes should be at least half the price of what they are and would be a budget meal better than McDonald’s? Perhaps. How much to you like plain rice? The tea is really good.”

Chili Spot 椒点

“Amazing dry hot pot here. Such good flavors and toppings. I usually get medium spice with fish filet, lotus root, fried tofu, thick noodle, winter melon and enoki mushroom. So good!! Highly recommend.”

Restaurant

Hot Birdie's Chicken

Address: 3606 SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, FL 32608, USA

Restaurant

“Update: Sadly, this great little locally owned restaurant closed. If you find a place you like, support it! Small place that opened recently and has a really good chicken sandwich! It was hot, not overly spicy but a great flavor. The chicken was moist with a thin crispy coating, it had a coupleof pieces of pickle on it and tall, I had to smash it to eat it! I also had the waffle fries, they had a flavoring sprinkled on them and were hot, too. They have a few popular beers on tap and a few from the local breweries in cans. The place seats around 25, I guess; it's right on Archer Road and fairly easy to get in and out of. If they're trying to compete with the big chain chicken and pickle place- they win!”

CAVA

Address: 3730 SW Archer Rd Suite 200, Gainesville, FL 32608, USA

Restaurant

“It was my first time visiting CAVA and I actually really liked the food. I created my own bowl with many combinations of base, protein, and sauces. The taste was amazing and I would definitely come back for this. Water fountain is located around the corner, and there are Togo brownbags and utensils ready. The place is well maintained and clean. Highly recommend!”

Willy's Mexicana Grill

Address: 3617 SW Archer Rd, Gainesville, FL 32608, USA

Restaurant

“Moes is a Willys ripoff. Willys' Sinaloan Tofu is some good stuff. They're very vegan friendly. And personally, I like that they hire a lot of Latinos, it is a Mexican restaurant. The food is fresh, the environment is nice, the employees are great, and unlike Chipotle, Willys has WiFi!”

Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles

Address: 5248 SW 34th St, Gainesville, FL 32608, USA

Restaurant

“I like soup noodles, so this is a place I must try. The bowls came with a plastic stand for insulation and protection from getting scalded by the hot clay bowl. I tell you, the soup was super super hot 🔥 🥵. The signature soup Jintang was very spicy even though we ordered mild. The tomato soup was very tasty and there was lots of fish meat. On the whole, I like this place and the food and we will certainly come again.”

Pirates' Grill

Restaurant

“This is the most charming restaurant I've been to in a long time. The atmosphere is spot on! The owners were very friendly and answered all of the questions I had about the menu. You won't be disappointed if you give them a try!”

The Traveler

Address: 101 SE 2nd Pl #108, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Restaurant

“This place is truly unmatched! Maude has created such an awesome environment that is unlike any other place in town (or anywhere for that matter). She changes the cocktail menu seasonally and creates and perfects each recipe herself. I am always eager to try each new item because I have yet to try one I didn't absolutely love. Always unique, always incredible! If I had to make a list of the top 5 cocktails I have had in my life, at least 3 of them would be from The Traveler (with #1 being the crème brulee martini from the holiday menu- it's unreal)! Their wine offerings are also top notch and extremely diverse. Maude is an expert and will find a perfect pairing or recommendation for anyone's specific preferences. Maude also hosted a group of us for a private party and created the perfect atmosphere, exceeding all of our expectations. We had SO much fun, tried incredible wine and cocktails, and did not want to leave. In summary this place is magical and I can't help but tell everyone I know about it! If you try it, you won't regret it.. and if you don't try it, then really it's your loss.”

PrimoHoagies

Address: 211 S Main St Suite 10, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Meal takeaway Restaurant

“1. Delicious! 2. Staff were friendly and prepared food well. 3. Ingredients were fresh. Sandwich ingredients and sides like long hots and pepper shooters. 4. Sharp Italian was out of this world good. I saved some for the next day and it wasn't soggy, it actually tasted even been! 5. I highly recommend the "Bada Bing" chicken cutlet, sharp provolone, and broccoli rabe. My husband and I fought over this sandwich because it was so good. 6. Thank you for bringing Philly to Gainesville!”

Frenchmen Street Food

Address: 439 S Main St, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Restaurant

“The Frenchmen Street Food truck is one of my favorite spots for Cajun style food, and their new permanent brick-and-mortar location is very exciting. The brunch options they've got going right now are super yummy.”

Humble Wood Fire Pizzeria

Address: 619 S Main St Unit 1B North, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“This place is amazing and the food tastes great! It is a local establishment and many of the ingredients are from local farmers too. The prices are fairly reasonable as well. The garlic knots are amazing, only downfall was that they are somewhat expensive and there seems to be a limited supply when we came in but they are well worth it! Highly recommend giving this place a try for their yummy brunch and pizza!”

bb.q Chicken Downtown Gainesville

Address: 201 SE 2nd Ave #101, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Restaurant

“BB.Q Chicken, also known as Best of the Best Quality Chicken, is the largest Korean chicken franchise from South Korea. Fried chicken was introduced to Koreans by U.S. African American soldiers during the Korean War, and over the past half-century, it has become extremely popular in Korea, leading to the creation of numerous unique flavors. Koreans often enjoy their fried chicken with beer after late work hours, giving rise to the term "Chi-Mac" (Chicken + Maekju, the Korean word for beer). Nowadays, there are about 87,000 fried chicken restaurants in South Korea alone, which is more than all the McDonald's in the world, despite McDonald's being the world's largest restaurant chain. BB.Q's Golden Original chicken is renowned for its exceptional quality and extra crispy texture, achieved by frying the chicken twice. In addition to Golden Original, I recommend all their flavors, including honey garlic, soy garlic, galbi, spicy galbi, hot mala, gangjeong, and Gangnam style. All of them are unique and are absolutely delicious. Additionally, cheesling chicken is quite distinctive, featuring a Cheetos-like shell coated with sweet cheese powder. Their hot spicy and secret spicy flavors are Korean-spicy, distinct yet comparable in heat to the "Hot!" level, the third spiciest at Hattie B's Hot Chicken from Nashville, TN. One Korean chicken variation that BB.Q does not offer is Padak, which features chicken with green onions. However, this dish is available at Seoul Pocha. Additionally, BB.Q offers delicious Tteokbokki (Korean spicy rice cakes), a popular Korean street food. For a rich, creamy, moderate spicy taste, try the Rose Tteokbokki, and for those interested in spicy options, the Mala Tteokbokki is a must-try, reminiscent of street food stalls in Seoul. Please keep in mind that when BBQ Chicken stores open, there are always very long lines for several weeks after opening. I would suggest ordering over the phone or online and expecting at least a 1.5-hour wait time. This was the case for both BB.Q stores in Orlando and Tampa. It took about 6 months for these stores to reach full speed, and currently, it still takes about 30 minutes in the Orlando and Tampa stores, mainly because they make everything fresh.”

La Maracucha Venezuelan Restaurant

Address: 1023 W University Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Restaurant

“We were driving on 75 hungry, and we found this place on Google maps. It is an ice cream store/ venezuela restaurant. The food was great and they made it fresh really fast. The arepas are huge. 100% recommend !”

Mom's OG

Address: 1017 W University Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Restaurant

“Personally, I am shocked at how unbelievable some of the daily deals are. $5 for a cheeseburger and fries is unbeatable. Not to mention to food is delicious. The atmosphere is great to catch football games and listen to music. Service does their job well and overall, it's a great experience. I look forward to returning.”

HASS Kitchen

Address: 1220 W University Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Restaurant

“Very cute place for brunch, when the weather is nice, great outdoor seating. But there is not a lot of space to sit, and it got busy quickly, so come early for brunch. The food was great overall! The sourdough bread was so fresh and had great flavor. Our favorite was the salmon toast, second the French toast, and third the eggs Benedict. The bread for the Benedict got a little bit soggy pretty quickly, so it could have been better. The coffee was also really tasty! Would come back again for a nice cozy brunch!”

Ice Cream & Crêpes Eatery

Address: 1025 W University Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“I visited Gainesville for the first time this week and was recommended to try their crepe. I ordered the OG Crepe with vanilla ice cream on the side. It was the best decision I made. It was one of the best crepes I’ve had in a long time. Such a great place to try.”

CAVA

Address: 1404 W University Ave, Gainesville, FL 32603, USA

Restaurant

“The service and atmosphere is really good here. It is definitely a good choice for healthy food, my main complaint is that the portion sizes are kind of small and not that filling in my opinion. I liked the grilled chicken bowl, my favorite part was the hummus and they include a big scoop of it. It’s kind of overpriced for the amount of food you get in my opinion”

Rush Bowls

Address: 1360 W University Ave, Gainesville, FL 32603, USA

Restaurant

“This place was pretty hard to find (the entrance is located off the street and there is no sign guiding to this place). The cafe is small with a few indoor seating places. The stuff is super accommodating and friendly. We ordered High Tide bowl and PB crunch smoothie. We asked for vegan option of these items and they replaced dairy yogurt with açaí. Also, they can customize pretty much everything there by replacing and taking off ingredients. Add-ons are available as well. Overall, great place with amazing fast service and good vibe.”

Nopal Dos

Address: 931 SW 2nd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Restaurant

“The food is tasty. The yuca fries are crisp and yummie. The veggie burger is thick, way thicker than a cheese burger. The sweet potato fries were kinda soggy. Water is 💦 water ❄ is chilled and refreshing. The attendees at the restricted were cordial and the design of the location is inviting. The Indians also there the young white and Indian looking girls seem to be continuing the same abuse of human trafficking me and trying to emphasize as they "walk past me" in groups of people snarling remarks of how they have and i do not. So although I ate alone due to the town of Gainesville, FL and the Gators being a nightmare not a kind and sweet and welcoming loving environment. The town of Gainesville FL rips out people hearts and lies in medical records and abuses kids AKA THE GATOR NATION. Whoever designed and made this space made a beautiful place to sit and eat. They need to keep the mental heath abuse India ad white trash out though so that people like me can go to have a meal and eat in peace not the same trashy gossip and down talking of trauma victims.”

Corndog by Mr.Cow

Address: 931 SW 2nd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Restaurant

“The corndogs was very delicious and my kids enjoyed it. The service was fast and quick as well. The only thing we didn't like was the chèese balls. They were too chewy like bubble gum. Other than that the corn dogs were great! The cheese pull was everything!”

Plantology

Address: 931 SW 2nd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Restaurant

“Pictures are posted of items on the wall. Ingredients were under the items on the menu. Once we figured out what we wanted we were directed to the thing in the counter to place our order. Once our food was ready our name was called. The beverages were good. The Mac was a little spicy but the soy spirals were very seasoned. I would order it again just without the spiciness.”

Scuola 2 Pizza Food Truck

Address: Scuola Pizza, 931 SW 2nd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601, USA

Restaurant

“Absolutely amazing ! Service was great ! We chose the chicken pita and it did not disappoint ! Food was full of flavor”
