El Rincon Del Mofongo

first time here on a sunday snd they had a buffet. the goat was excellent. everything was really good. prices were excellent.

No more McDonald's or Burger King for me..I told my mom I can eat this good food everyday...Castillo is best chef ever. Love his fried boneless chicken ,rice and beans.Shirley is a great and very helpful...Excellent service.

Not a place of discovery; if you're familiar with the cuisine it would help. Ambiance leaves so much to be desired.

Two for lunch. One buffet - everything great. One goat stew. Great flavor but over half of bowl was bones, gristle, and some piece of organ with two tube holes in it. I brought it to the waitress's attention twice but nothing was said or done. The beans were mostly liquid and not very flavorful. Would have been nice to have been offered water refills.

My kiddo and I went to dinner at an awesome hidden gem. Google calls it M&F international but they changed the name to El Rincon Del Mofongo. It's in Bell plaza next to goodwill in Port Charlotte by Midway Blvd.

The waitress, Shirley, was so nice and incredibly helpful considering we had never been there. She knew the menu and helped us order. We started with the fried plantains, which were so good and had a very good dipping sauce as well. We both ordered the Morongo. I had pork and the kiddo had chicken. They were both excellent and had really good flavor. Try this place, it's a hidden gem.
