This place has the BEST fried chicken around here. I always order it. The coating is so light, it's simply and perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper, then fried to a super crispy finish. They have a large selection of sides to choose from that go with your meal. They are known for their pies; they are good but I've had better. Unfortunately, their service is lacking which is disappointing.

Best southern fried chicken in area. Southern style vegetables made right. Fabulous homemade pies. Be prepared for a wait as food is cooked to order. Order your ???? first to assure your selection isn't sold out by the end of your meal.

Great food & service! We had a large family of 12, and we were well taken care of. The owners were so nice & personable. Chicken is very good, & there are lots of vegetables to choose from. The decor is done very cool! Nice family place to go!

We stopped in for breakfast this past weekend, just on a whim. When we arrived, we found that the place was packed, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes...very fast. Unfortunately, we found out that breakfast hours just ended. My wife was set on having breakfast, until she saw the "St. Patty's Day" special of corned beef and cabbage. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and my boy got a fried chicken sandwich. It took a really long time for us to get our food...about an hour. The sandwiches were really good, but my wife said that the corned beef and cabbage was the best that she ever ate. She eats that whenever she can, so that is saying a lot. The staff really made the restaurant a fun place to be. All of the waitresses had really fun and outgoing personalities. We enjoyed listening to them at other tables. The owner also made his way around the restaurant, checking on people and just making friendly conversation. At the end, we took pie home with us, which was as good as we expected. The only reason that we didn't give the full 5 stars was due to the long wait for the food....but my wife said it best stating that it was all well worth the wait. Great Hometown Restaurant with Hometown Folk and Hometown Meals. Will definitely stop back in again the next time we are in town.

    Amazing!
They have the best pot roast EVER and I'm sure the rest of their menu is just as amazing. It's real home cooked food and you can taste it.
On the back of the menu they have their origin story about how the restaurant began and who's running it now. It's mostly family run and they are all so friendly.
This place has great customer service. You will have to get their before the crowds because this place gets full. We arrived around about 4:00pm just in time to beat the dinner crowds.
There was a long line at the cash register when we went to leave though, so we decided to order a piece of their famous pie. It was pretty good, so it's no surprise that they got popular. I've never had a meringue pie before, so to me it was different and good.
I don't remember much of their menu options, but they do also serve breakfast. My grandparents had gone here for breakfast and that's one of the reasons they took me here for dinner. They said that it was a great place to have breakfast and so they wanted to try it out for dinner. I'm really glad they did because it's the best place to eat out at in that area. I think I'm going to go there for my birthday dinner every birthday!
They are also reasonably priced for the amount and quality of the food.
