Josephine

Address: 3563 St Johns Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32205, USA

Restaurant

“First time at Josephine's and we were amazed! They did an amazing job renovating this place, it definitely gave us a New York vibe. They have a huge bar and you will see it when you enter the restaurant, we were greeted right away which always a good sign. We got sat in in this very comfortable booth, they were originally going to say us at the high top table and I said no and they were very nice to accommodate my request. Food was phenomenal! Husband got the Caesar salad and I had the bread of course of both of them was very tasty! Bread was super soft but yet a little crunch on the outside. Salad was good as well! The dressing was just perfect on the salad and you can tell that it is very fresh. Our main meal was the blank ink pasta which was out of this world and I'm so mad at myself that I forgot to take home my left over and we had another pasta for dinner but I completely forgot the name of it and it's actually a great meal as well. Servjce was extremely good they gave us a complimentary champagne since we were celebrating our Anniversary. I was so impressed at Josephine's that I asked to see their private rooms/banquets so that I can book them for our next event. This place is great for date nights and girl nights and I heard their brunch is pretty good as well! So hopefully we can go back here and try their brunch but for now don't walk! Make your reservations at Josephine's !”

Oceana

Address: 1988 San Marco Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, USA

Restaurant

“Happy Hour at Taverna Oceana with a special friend - oh my gosh, you can’t go wrong! The prices, the selections, the ambiance, it’s one of my new favorite places now for Happy Hour in Jax! 4pm - 6pm, two whole hours! I’m very gracious Rachel made a reservation for us because it does get busy pretty quickly. Our server kept checking on us the entire time; we had phenomenal service. Oysters were very fresh and at a great price point during happy hour. The oysters, tots, and pear sorbet were my favorite things we tried, but honestly we cleaned house! We didn’t leave any apps behind. The lobster burrata had nice big chunks of lobster and cheese, it was perfect. Get the grilled bread when they offer this to go with it - it’s a very nice touch! I’m already looking forward to going back. This is a great addition to San Marco.”

T J & D Barbeque

“They were in the community where I live this week and the food was great…the ribs was cooked perfect and so flavorful without the sauces. The nephew said the chicken was good also. Potato salad was good, I’m a Mac N Cheese critic and that was good also, I’ll go back if they come back in my area.”

Fore Score Golf Tavern

Address: 1407 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207, USA

“While they have great golf simulators, this place is great just as a stand-alone tavern. The bar team is excellent and ready to accommodate. Their draft beer selection is the best in San Marco square. And if you want to sit indoors and people watch, the large window fronts will keep you climate controlled and occupied for hours with some of the best street views in San Marco.”

“Hands down the BEST meal we’ve had in JAX and top 5 ever. The flavors made your taste buds sing. The chef is SO talented. Not only is the food incredible but the service is impeccable. From the moment we walked in we felt like we were at a family dinner. Kurt helped us choose amazing wine to drink with our meal and take home and my husband also enjoyed his cocktail that I’ve never seen on any menu besides in Spain. We cannot quit talking about our amazing meal and cannot wait to go back. They have quick valet parking right at their doorstep so don’t let limited San Marco parking scare you. Thank you to the entire Bar Molino crew!”

Stout Snug Creamery

Address: 1198 Edgewood Ave S, Jacksonville, FL 32205, USA

Restaurant

“First time I've had a completely vegan banana split 😋. The guy working was so patient with everything we ordered and the place was also clean. The only downside was that the ice cream, probably because it was dairy free, was a little too sweet, at least for us. It was still tasty though. 5 different vegan flavors and plenty of vegan toppings. Highly recommend. 👍🏼”

Community Loaves

Address: 1116 Edgewood Ave S, Jacksonville, FL 32205, USA

Bakery Cafe Restaurant

“This is a really unique and cute place. The building has indoor and outdoor seating, very nice! The food we ate was delicious and the bread was so good! I only have one issue, the prices are really high for the portion size. We spent 35 dollars for lunch for a medium salad ( no protein in it $17) and small little sandwich and one drink. I understand that prices are passed down to the consumer but we left still hungry. As much as we really enjoyed the 2 menu items we tried, we won’t be back.”

Chancho King

Address: 1120 Edgewood Ave S, Jacksonville, FL 32205, USA

“I'll be coming back here again. This place had great tasting food and decently priced. The service was helpful and relatively quick. Beer selection was good too, a few local beers on tap which is always welcomed. The chicken dish was super flavorful; savory and that sauce mixed with the rice was awesome. The pork was not dry and had a great taste. Loved the chicharrones as well. It was all a hit!”

Tulua Bistro Springfield

Address: 1705 N Main St, Jacksonville, FL 32206, USA

Restaurant

“The food was ok. The temperature of my food was not hot. It seemed as if it had been sitting before they brought it out. I had the crab cake Benedict and pancake bacon dippers. The crabcake itself was good, but I didn't really care for the hollandaise sauce. The pancake dippers were a little under cook, the batter itself. We were also told the kitchen were out of certain things, but we saw them bringing out those items to other tables. Not sure what happened with that. Overall I'd give the atmosphere, experience, and food a 7.”

Plenti

Address: 200 Riverside Ave #1, Jacksonville, FL 32202, USA

“This may become a top reason for us to visit downtown Jacksonville (from the burbs). A refreshingly new perspective on healthy food choices that I now love. We tried the market bowls and the combinations, protein and sauces were great! It's a one-off, unique to Jacksonville and the proprietor Dean very friendly, so we wish him luck and future expansion!”
