“One of the best meals we’ve eaten during our three week road trip from NC to Texas! My wife saw the roadside sign for crab legs and, on a whim, wanted to stop and get some. We did and we are glad for it. What a culinary treasure! Not only was the food delicious…I know fresh seafood. I was raised among shrimpers and fisherman on the east coast. This is fresh and deliciously prepared food. Alvin, the owner, is a real pleasure to meet, as well. As he is labeling out shrimp, crab legs, and peanuts, he is conversant and hospitable. All of my family loved this impromptu roadside stop on our way back home to Charlotte, NC.”

“This place is a very nice, cozy spot. My friends and I had the grilled pork schnitzel for lunch and it was wonderful. Prices are a little high for what we got, but very tasty. Service was wonderful. We were disappointed that we couldn't linger longer in the restaurant, but the lodge personnel allowed us to sit and visit on the patio before moving inside the lodge lobby.”

“I've lived in the Jackson County area my entire life but never knew this place existed until recently! It's very subtle on the outside but the decor on the inside is AMAZING. It has a very rustic feel, and is very warm and welcoming. The waitress was super personable too! She complimented my hair and we conversed about the curly hair struggle.(It's a tough one). The food was delicious! I had the philly sub for my entree. But I didn't get to eat it all because I filled up on their mouth-watering garlic bread and Manhattan Clam Soup! Definitely will be back!”

My wife's taco salad was very good but my chicken quesadilla could have been better. Also, the bathrooms could have used a little more attention. Not sure if we would choose to stop there again.”

“Hadn't been to Sonic in a long time so my expectations weren't very high. Dude. This was an incredibly delicious burger. My Oreo peanut butter milkshake wasn't blended very well (all the Oreos were flattened at the bottom of the cup) but obviously I could've stirred it up if I realized sooner - and the burger more than made up for this tiny inconvenience. Will totally go back if/when I'm in the area again, and will probably go to other Sonic locations more often as a result of my experience at this one.”

“My daughter and wife are huge fans of the sushi. Sunset roll, Saints roll, California roll and the Pink Lady. I prefer the hibachi steak with lo mein(even though their rice is really good also). The juice from the steak mixed with yum yum sauce is really good. Overall a great addition to our town. Also conveniently located in front of the movie theater.”

I will say that I definitely want to give NO stars.. Only on the fact that they have gone to an automated phone system and it's nearly impossible to speak to a person on the phone. The patch job and painting they did for the walls was pretty unappealing as well. I'd go again alone for a good steak, but it falls quite short of any meaningful experience.
