“If you are looking for a basic diner with exceptional food, this is it locally. The wings are smoked then grilled in choice of sauce, probably the best I’ve ever had! The fries are hand cut in house and cooked well. Ranch was too thin to add quality to the salad. The ribs are extremely well prepared and has a fantastic sauce. My only disappointment was with the waitresses. One was so unfriendly initially it felt we were a bother upon arrival. The seconds vocabulary during a restaurant lacked professionalism. Had to ask for refills on water and for extra napkins( wings and ribs) and again appeared put out by the request. Overall I would absolutely return and recommend the food. Proper service etiquette education is needed for the staff.”

“Fantastic food, service and atmosphere! This is such a little surprising gem. You can tell the owners really care about their food, staff and customers. We had pizza, chicken tenders, onion rings, salad bar, and baked fish with wonderful seasoned veggies. All were so good but the onion rings were the best I've had in Florida! Perfect light batter with just enough seasoning, with the onions inside cooked just right. I will be craving them now. The waitress, Xa (not sure of spelling) was too sweet and provided great service! You can tell everyone takes pride in the business here! We will visit again next time we're in this cute little town.”

“There are SO MANY words to use to describe Conch City!!! Mr. James & Mrs. Grace are the absolute sweetest!! They gave excellent recommendations & you can genuinely taste the pure love that pours into their cuisine!! We had the fried conch, seafood rice, fried okra, & fries.... DELICIOUS! The portions are enough to have leftovers.. though, with how good everything is you'll want to eat it all in one sitting! This was our first visit and Mrs. Grace & Mr. James made sure our tab was efficient so not to over charge. We got to sit right on the bed of our truck & enjoy our lovely meal. We really appreciate coming across such lovely people like The McGee's.”

“Fantastic! It’s so great to finally have place a downtown to come get a delicious drink at a reasonable price and good food. I have severe allergy to Olive oil which I know is one of the best oils to cook with but the manager and chef went out their way to make sure my food was safe. Can’t wait to come back… I’ll get dessert next time maybe save them a little stress! I ordered the zucchini fries, old fashioned and American mule! So good!”

“I’ve ordered from here 3 Fridays in a row and have been impressed with all we’ve had so far. The ribs are our favorite. We made a whole slab last for 3 days and every day they were as tender and fall off the bone good as they were the day we ordered them. They will add a bbq sauce to it but I think they were well seasoned without any sauce. Love the seasoned fries they have. I cannot leave there without getting one of their desserts. The red velvet cake and banana pudding is something I would come back for every week! I haven’t had everything there yet, but we are on our way to trying it all!”

“We came shortly before closing, so the food was not as fresh or hot as I would have liked. But I understand. That being said, the flavor was wonderful. I had the smoked chicken with Mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was homemade. The service was outstanding. Our waitress was very attentive. I would like to try it again for lunch so I can give 5 stars!”

“The food is excellent and the employees are as sweet as cotton candy. Only complaint was, everything is sticky. The floor felt like it had glue on it. No their fault though, the last owners did something to the floor. I wish some good Samaritans would invest some time and money to give this small town restaurant a face-lift .”

“Took a drive north from Jacksonville to do some exploring came across The Porch on the Green. Food is very good, atmosphere is great; service is on par and so are the drinks. It is a restored old period home with lots of space. The grounds are beautiful as well. It was well worth the trip and will definitely be back. Would be a great place for a small wedding or rehearsal dinner.”

“Good quality food in a homey atmosphere! I tried "Grammys Favorite" Waffle. It was a wonderful & healthy alternative to eating Belgian waffles with ice cream or chicken and or syrup. It was topped with vanilla bean Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries, blueberries and sliced bananas. Prices are very reasonable! I will definitely be back for more.”

“Wow! This meal was outstanding. They have moved from the location shown on the map to their new building, but the food is incredible. And the two-for-one margaritas were a big big hit with our table. We had excellent service, our food came out quickly and there was way more than enough for all of us. We ended up taking it to go box home and my wife and I both ate a second meal today out of it. Take it from somebody that knows Mexican food this stuff is incredible. If you're ever in the area you definitely need to go to this place”

“This place is a gem. The owner has been cooking excellent outside-the-box burgers for 20+ years, and he seems to have mastered his craft. I ordered the Doghouse Burger-cooked medium with bacon and an egg. Perfect. They also had some of the most delicious homemade mac and cheese I have ever had.
